Is there a game where you can live in Bali?
Bali life simulator
Yes. LifeSim puts you in the real Bali on a 3D map of the streets and towns. You create a character and live there day by day. The people on the island have jobs, routines, and friends, and they remember your chats. It is free and runs in your browser.

Bali is an Indonesian island province famous for Balinese Hindu culture, volcanic peaks, rice terraces, and surf beaches. Mornings start with locals placing woven palm-leaf offerings called canang sari outside homes and family-owned warungs. Streets soon fill with residents on scooters, market vendors in Denpasar, and remote workers at coastal cafes.
Where to live in Bali
Denpasar
The provincial capital with busy urban neighborhoods, government offices, and the multi-story Pasar Badung market.
Ubud
The inland cultural center surrounded by terraced rice paddies, traditional craft workshops, and yoga studios.
Canggu
A coastal hub where surfers and digital nomads take narrow paths past rice fields to beach cafes.
Seminyak
A densely built resort area with shopping boutiques, private villas, and restaurants along Jalan Kayu Aya.
Sanur
A quieter eastern coastal town with calm waters and a long paved beachfront path for walking.
A sample life: a remote worker in Canggu
Maya, 28, moves to Canggu to work as a freelance designer. She sets two life goals: make local friends and visit five ancient temples across Bali.
In week one, Maya searches the map for a cafe on Jalan Pantai Batu Bolong. She goes there each morning and talks with a regular named Wayan. Wayan remembers her name the next day and sends a text message about a neighborhood meal.
In week two, a house party appears as a happening on the map in nearby Seminyak. Maya attends, meets two surfers, and plans a group outing to Tanah Lot for the weekend. At the end of each day, a recap shows her best moments.
Getting around Bali
Bali has no railway system. Most residents ride two-wheeled scooters, drive cars, or use the Gojek and Grab ride-hailing services. The Trans Metro Dewata bus network also connects the greater Denpasar area with routes to Ubud, Sanur, and Nusa Dua.
In LifeSim, you do not drive scooters or ride buses. You move around by searching for real places on the 3D map. Pick a spot like Sanur Beach or Pasar Badung, go there, and walk the streets with your friends.
Work and jobs in Bali
Tourism, hospitality, agriculture, and traditional crafts drive the economy of Bali. Major employers include the Bali Provincial Government, the resort complexes in Nusa Dua, and Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah General Hospital. Many young people also study at Udayana University or the Indonesian Institute of the Arts in Denpasar.
You can play any of these roles by writing them into your starting prompt. Write that you are a hotel manager in Seminyak, a silver artisan in Ubud, or a medical student. LifeSim has no career ladder or salary system, so your work life focuses on conversations and daily goals.
A day in Bali in LifeSim
You start as Kadek, a 25-year-old tour guide living in Denpasar. In the morning, you check your daily to-do list and walk to Pasar Badung on Jalan Sulawesi. You chat with a vendor about buying fresh fruit and a plate of Nasi Campur Bali.
In the afternoon, a coworker texts you on a group thread to plan an outing. You invite three friends to meet at Sanur Beach and walk along the coastal path together. You talk as a group in your own words, and everyone remembers the outing later.
Famous places in Bali to search for
The map includes real landmarks across the island. You can search for the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud or the Tegalalang Rice Terrace north of town. Plan an outing there with friends and talk outside the real sites.
Along the coast, you can search for Uluwatu Temple on the southern cliffs or Tanah Lot in Tabanan Regency. In the cooler central mountains of Bedugul, you can visit Ulun Danu Beratan Temple by the lake. Buildings and temples appear from the outside on the 3D map.

Questions
Can I visit Ubud or Canggu in the game?
Yes. The 3D map includes the whole island of Bali. You can type Ubud, Canggu, or Denpasar into your character text to start there.
Can I surf or drive a scooter in LifeSim?
No. LifeSim has no surfing mini-games and no vehicles you drive. You pick places on the 3D map, walk there, and talk to people in your own words.
Is the game in Indonesian or Balinese?
No. The game is in English only. Local characters answer you in English, while temples, streets, and towns keep their real names.
Can I buy a villa or pay rent in Bali?
No. LifeSim does not have home buying, mortgages, or rent bills. You can write that you live in a Seminyak villa in your character description.
What are the small offerings on the ground in Bali?
They are canang sari, woven palm-leaf baskets filled with flowers, rice, and incense. Locals place them outside homes and shops each morning as Hindu offerings, and residents always step around them.
