Fisherman daily schedule and pay by level
You work 4 hours per day from Monday to Friday, for a total of 20 hours per week. You choose between the morning shift at 05:00 and the evening shift at 21:00. Both shifts keep the same hours at all 3 levels.
You start at level 1 as a Goldfish Hunter earning 33 Simoleons per hour, or 660 Simoleons per week. Level 2 is River Wrangler, which pays 40 Simoleons per hour and 800 Simoleons per week. Level 3 is Deep Sea Fishing Master, paying 48 Simoleons per hour and 960 Simoleons per week.
Levels 1 and 2 give 0.25 paid days off for each day you work. Level 3 raises this rate to 0.5 paid days off per work day. After you reach level 3, each overmax level adds 10 Simoleons to your hourly pay.
Why the Fisherman career has one path
Because Fisherman is a part-time career, it does not split into branches. Every Sim in this job follows the single Fisherman track to the top pay of 960 Simoleons per week. If you quit the job, the level you rejoin at drops by 1 every 2 days.
You can raise your hourly pay with specific traits. Business Savvy, Graduated High School Early, and Graduated with Honors each add 10% to your hourly rate. Valedictorian adds 15%, and The Knowledge adds 30%.
How to get promoted faster and use cheats
When your work performance is close to the promotion line, you have a 1% base chance of an early promotion. The Entrepreneurial trait multiplies this chance by 10. The Growth Mindset moodlet multiplies the chance by 5, and one other condition also affects it.
If your performance falls to the demotion line at the end of a shift, the base demotion chance is 100%. A Sim with the Professional Slacker trait has a multiplier of 0, which means no demotion.
You can also promote your Sim right away in Live mode. Open the cheat console with Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type testingcheats true, then enter careers.promote PartTime_Fisherman.
