Daily shifts, hours, and weekly pay growth

At level 1, you work from Monday to Saturday for 4 hours a day. You can choose a morning shift at 06:00 or an evening shift at 14:00. This schedule totals 24 hours a week and pays 20 Simoleons per hour, or 480 Simoleons per week.

Reaching level 2 drops Saturday from your schedule, leaving 20 hours of work across Monday through Friday. Your shift times stay the same, and your pay jumps to 47 Simoleons per hour, making 940 Simoleons weekly. At level 3, shifts shrink to 3 hours a day starting at 08:00 or 15:00.

A level 3 Prime Fixer-Upper works 15 hours a week and earns 78 Simoleons per hour. That brings your weekly total to 1,170 Simoleons. You also earn 0.25 paid days off for each day worked at any level.

Career tracks and trait pay bonuses

The Handyperson career has a single track and does not split into branches. Every Sim in this job follows the same path to the top level of Prime Fixer-Upper. Your base weekly pay peaks at 1,170 Simoleons at level 3.

You can boost your hourly rate with specific traits. Business Savvy, Graduated High School Early, and Graduated with Honors each add a 10% pay bonus. The Valedictorian trait adds 15%, while The Knowledge trait adds a 30% bonus to your hourly pay.

Faster promotions, demotions, and career cheats

When your work performance nears the promotion line, you have a 1% base chance for an early promotion. The Entrepreneurial trait multiplies this chance by 10, and the Growth Mindset moodlet multiplies it by 5. One other game condition can also affect this roll.

If your performance hits the bottom at the end of a shift, you face a 100% demotion chance. Having the Professional Slacker trait multiplies this demotion chance by 0, which prevents demotion. If you quit the job, the level you would rejoin at drops by one every 2 days.
