The Night Owl trait is a bonus and reward trait in The Sims 4 base game. You can get this trait from the Rewards Store. It gives human Sims a Happy moodlet.

Open the cheat console with Ctrl + Shift + C and type the line. It works without testingcheats. It gives the trait to the Sim you control (how traits.equip_trait works).

This trait gives your Sim 1 unique moodlet called Night Owl. The moodlet adds a Happy emotion with a weight of 1. The emotion with the largest total weight becomes the Sim's mood.

This Happy moodlet lasts for 6.5 hours, or 390 Sim minutes. The trait does not have any always-on moodlets or moodlet replacements. It also has no hidden multiplier effects, career pay bonuses, or special interactions.

Who gets the Night Owl trait and how

Human Sims of the Newborn, Infant, Toddler, Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder ages can have this trait. The trait has no conflicts with other traits in the game. It comes from the Rewards Store, and 0 interactions give it directly.
