Vicarious is a bonus and reward trait in The Sims 4 base game. You earn this trait by completing the Successful Lineage Aspiration.

This trait gives 22 moodlets in total. The moodlets shown in the table are named Vicarious and grant Inspired, Focused, Energized, Confident, and Playful emotions.

The listed moodlets have a weight of 1, which adds to the total weight for that emotion. The emotion with the largest total weight sets your Sim's mood. The listed moodlets also have no timer, so they last while their cause lasts.

This trait has no hidden multipliers, career pay bonuses, or moodlet replacements. Also, 0 interactions check for this trait.

Who can get the Vicarious trait

Only human Sims can have the Vicarious trait. It is available for Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder Sims. It does not conflict with any other traits.

Your Sim gets this trait by completing the Successful Lineage Aspiration. No interactions in the game give this trait directly.
