Is there a Dhaka life simulator game?

Dhaka life simulator

Yes. LifeSim puts you in the real Dhaka on a 3D map of the real streets. You describe a character and live there day by day. The people in the city have jobs, routines, and memories of you. It is free and runs in your browser.

Life in Dhaka

Dhaka sits on the northern bank of the Buriganga River as the cultural and commercial capital of Bangladesh. Daily life is fast-paced and social, built around busy neighborhood bazaars and painted cycle rickshaws. In the evenings, friends and coworkers gather at roadside stalls for sweet milk cha and long conversations called adda.

Where to live in Dhaka

Old Dhaka (Puran Dhaka)

Narrow lanes, Mughal buildings, spice merchants, and late-night biryani stalls in Chawkbazar.

Dhanmondi

Tree-lined streets around Dhanmondi Lake with universities, hospitals, and student cafes.

Gulshan

An upscale district of embassies, corporate headquarters, lakeside parks, and fine dining.

Motijheel

The central financial district packed with bank headquarters, office towers, and weekday commuters.

Uttara

A planned northern suburb near the airport with grid sectors, malls, and family apartments.

A day in Dhaka in LifeSim

Say you start as a 26-year-old banker living in Dhanmondi. In the morning, you search the map for a cafe on Satmasjid Road and walk there. You greet the vendor with Salam and chat over a cup of cha before heading to your office in Motijheel.

In the afternoon, a coworker texts you to plan an outing. You invite two friends to Bailey Road to eat fuchka and talk as a group in your own words. Later, a birthday party happening appears on the map in Gulshan, and the day ends with a recap of your moments.

Famous places to search on the Dhaka map

You can use place search to find historic sites along the Buriganga River and across the city. Search for Lalbagh Fort to see the 17th-century Mughal complex, or visit the pink facade of Ahsan Manzil. You can also walk to the Star Mosque in Armanitola or the centuries-old Dhakeshwari National Temple.

For modern and academic landmarks, search for Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, the parliament complex in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar. Around the University of Dhaka, you can meet friends outside the red-brick Curzon Hall or near the Shaheed Minar monument. When you want green space, plan a group walk to Ramna Park.

Seasons and weather in Dhaka

The map in LifeSim shows weather, which shapes when you go out in the city. From March to May, the hot summer brings late-afternoon squalls called Kalbaishakhi. From June to October, the monsoon brings overcast skies and heavy rain.

Winter runs from November to February with dry, sunny days and cool evenings. This is the most comfortable season to walk through open-air markets like Dhaka New Market or book stalls in Nilkhet. Your character and friends can talk about the rain or the cool mist during your daily chats.

A sample life: a student's first week in Dhanmondi

Nadia, 20, starts a new life as an engineering student at BUET living in Dhanmondi. She sets two life goals on her calendar: make a close study group and visit every historic site in Old Dhaka.

On day two, Nadia searches for Nilkhet to buy books and chats with a shopkeeper she addresses politely as bhaiya. On day four, a classmate texts her on a group thread to plan an evening adda by Dhanmondi Lake. By the end of the week, they walk to Chawkbazar for kacchi biryani, and everyone remembers the conversations.
