What the Uncomfortable emotion does to your Sim
This negative emotion has two levels: Uncomfortable and Very Uncomfortable. Both levels apply hidden multipliers that reduce skill gain for all skills. These multipliers multiply together with other active effects on your Sim.
At the regular Uncomfortable level, skill gain for all skills has a ×0.8 multiplier. If the total weight of Uncomfortable moodlets reaches 4 or more, the level becomes Very Uncomfortable, assuming Uncomfortable has the largest total weight. At the Very Uncomfortable level, the skill gain multiplier drops to ×0.6 for all skills.
How to get Uncomfortable or clear it
You can trigger this mood through 621 different moodlets across the Base game and packs. A Base game moodlet also named Uncomfortable adds a weight of 2 for 2 hours. Strong Base game options include Nauseated and Tainted With Meat, which each add a weight of 5 for 30 minutes.
The strongest timed moodlet is SUPER MEGA ULTRA Exhausted from Businesses & Hobbies, adding 999 weight for 8 hours. Realm of Magic, Vampires, Life & Death, and Snowy Escape also add moodlets with weights from 4 to 15. These high weights are enough for Very Uncomfortable if no other emotion has a larger total weight.
