The Fear of Failure trait gives your Sim 1 unique moodlet called Looming Anxiety. This moodlet gives a Tense emotion with a weight of 2. It lasts for 4 hours, or 240 Sim minutes, when triggered.

This fear does not have any always-on moodlets or hidden multiplier effects. It does not change career pay bonuses or replace other moodlets. The game has 0 interactions that check for this trait.

Who gets the trait and how to cheat it

Only human Sims who are Teens, Young Adults, Adults, or Elders can have this trait. It does not conflict with any other traits in the game. In normal play, a Sim can get it from the Quit Job interaction.

You can also use cheats in Live mode to control this fear. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac to open the cheat console. You do not need to turn on testing cheats first.

Type traits.equip_trait trait_Fear_Failure to add the trait to your active Sim. Type traits.remove_trait trait_Fear_Failure to delete it right away.
