Can you play BitLife on a PC?
Yes, with Google Play Games on Windows. BitLife has no Windows app of its own. The official site lists the App Store and Google Play only. Google lists BitLife as a game that you can play on a Windows PC with Google Play Games.
On a Mac, you can install it from the App Store if the Mac has an Apple M1 chip or later. This post gives the steps for each way, the requirements, and the risks of the other ways.

How do you play BitLife on Windows with Google Play Games?
What your PC needs
Google lists these requirements for Google Play Games on PC: Windows 10 (v2004) or later, an SSD with 10 GB of free space, an Intel UHD Graphics 630 GPU or the same class, 4 physical CPU cores, and 8 GB of RAM. You need a Windows administrator account. You must turn on hardware virtualization in the BIOS.
The steps
- Install Google Play Games on PC from the Google page.
- Sign in with a Google account.
- Search for BitLife – Life Simulator.
- Choose Install, then Play.
The Google page for BitLife says that the game contains ads and in-game purchases. It also says that some features, such as device sync, may not be available for this title. We did not test the sync.
An older or weaker PC can fail one of these checks. The virtualization setting is the most common one to miss. We did not research how to turn it on for each PC maker.
How do you play BitLife on a Mac?
Open the App Store on the Mac and search for BitLife. The App Store page says that the Mac version requires macOS 14.0 or later and a Mac with an Apple M1 chip or later.
An Intel Mac does not meet this rule. The App Store page lists no Intel Mac. An Intel Mac user needs a different way, such as a browser game. Read the last section.
The app is free with in-app purchases. The App Store page lists these: Remove Ads at $2.99, God Mode at $9.99, and Bitizenship at $7.99 or $9.99. Prices change. Read the page before you buy. For what God Mode does, read BitLife God Mode.
Can you use an Android emulator for BitLife?
Yes. An emulator is a program that runs Android apps on a PC. BlueStacks is one of them. It has a page for BitLife GO!, a version of the game from Candywriter.
BlueStacks lists these steps: install BlueStacks on a PC or Mac, sign in with a Google account, search for the game, and install it from the Play Store inside BlueStacks. The minimum is Windows 7 or newer, or macOS 11 or newer, 4 GB of RAM, and 10 GB of free disk space.
Kingshiper lists other tools: screen mirroring from your phone, MuMuPlayer, and MEmu. Kingshiper sells screen mirroring software. Read its list with that in mind.
An emulator is a third-party program. Candywriter did not make it. You install a large program, and it asks for access to your PC. Use the Google way first. It has the fewest risks.
Is there a safe online version of BitLife?
We found no official one. The official site lists the App Store and Google Play only. Sites that offer BitLife in a browser are not from Candywriter.
Kingshiper names one such site and says that it is a third-party service with no tie to the developer. Kingshiper also warns you to avoid unverified mods and patches, to download from official sources, and to keep your antivirus up to date.
Do not download a file that says “BitLife for PC” from a site that you do not know. The official ways are the Mac App Store and Google Play Games. A free download from any other site is a risk to your PC and your accounts.
Which way should you choose?
| Way | Computer | What it needs | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Play Games | Windows | Windows 10 (v2004), 8 GB RAM, 4 cores, SSD | Device sync may be missing |
| Mac App Store | Mac | macOS 14.0 and an Apple M1 chip or later | No Intel Mac |
| Android emulator | Windows or Mac | 4 GB RAM, 10 GB of disk space (BlueStacks) | A third-party program |
| Website that says BitLife | Any | A browser | Not official. Not from Candywriter. |
Pick the first row if you have Windows. Pick the second row if you have a new Mac. Use an emulator only when both fail. Skip the last row.
What if Google Play Games will not install?
Check the list against your PC. Each line is a point where the install can fail.
- Windows version: you need Windows 10 (v2004) or later.
- Drive: you need an SSD with 10 GB free.
- Memory: you need 8 GB of RAM.
- Processor: you need 4 physical cores.
- Account: you need a Windows administrator account.
- BIOS: hardware virtualization must be on.
If the PC fails one line, you cannot use this way. Try an emulator, which has lower requirements on its page, or play a browser game.
Is playing BitLife on a PC better than on a phone?
It depends on what you want. BitLife is a game of taps and short text. A phone fits that. A PC gives you a larger screen and a mouse. It gives you no new rules.
The Google PC page warns that device sync can be missing. If you play on a phone and a PC, check that your life carries over. We did not test it. Do not start a long life on a PC until you know.

What if you want a life sim in a PC browser?
Then BitLife is not the best fit. A few other life sims run in a browser with no install. We list them in life sims you can play in your browser.
LifeSim is one of them. It runs in a browser, and it is free. Read how to play LifeSim. It is not BitLife. You do not tap Age. The clock runs by itself. You live one life in a real city on a map of Earth, and you talk with the people there in open text. They remember what you said.
Stay with BitLife if you want short sessions and the absurd events. LifeSim does not do that. For the comparison, read LifeSim vs BitLife. For more games, read games like BitLife.
