How do you become a vet in BitLife?

Go to university and study Biology or Chemistry. Then go to veterinary school for 4 years. After that, apply for the Jr. Veterinarian job and pass the interview. That is the whole path.

  1. Graduate from high school. Study hard every year to raise your Smarts.
  2. Enroll in university and pick Biology or Chemistry as your major.
  3. Finish the 4 years of university.
  4. Open the education menu and apply to veterinary school.
  5. Finish the 4 years of veterinary school.
  6. Open the full-time job list, apply for the vet job, and pass the interview.

What degree do you need to be a vet in BitLife?

You need a Biology or Chemistry degree from university. Then you need a degree from veterinary school. The wiki says that a school rejects you if your major does not match it.

Does a Physics degree work for vet school in BitLife?

We cannot say for sure. One wiki table marks Physics as a match for veterinary school. The wiki text names only Biology and Chemistry. Destructoid says that other science degrees do not qualify you. Pick Biology or Chemistry to be safe.

How do you get into veterinary school in BitLife?

  1. Pick "Study Harder" every year in school and university. Charlie Intel gives this tip.
  2. Go to the library and read books. Charlie Intel gives the path Activities, then Mind and Body, then Library.
  3. Join clubs that help your mind. Charlie Intel names Chess Club, Debate Club, and Student Council.
  4. Finish university with Biology or Chemistry.
  5. Pick "Seek Higher Education" and apply to veterinary school.
  6. Take a scholarship if the game offers one. Otherwise, take a student loan or ask your parents for money.

If the game rejects you, the wiki lists graduate school as an optional step. It lasts 2 years and raises Smarts. It does not promise a place in vet school after it.

How long does it take to become a vet in BitLife?

Plan for 8 game years after high school. That is 4 years of university and 4 years of veterinary school. Both numbers come from the wiki.

The age when you finish high school depends on your country. The wiki gives a range of 13 to 19. For example, a character who finishes high school at 18 is about 26 at the first vet job.

Is vet school shorter than medical school in BitLife?

Can you skip school to become a vet in BitLife?

The wiki says that a Golden Diploma came to the BitLife Marketplace in July 2024. It lets you graduate at once with a postgraduate degree that you choose. We did not find a source that confirms it for veterinary school. Check the Marketplace in your own game.

How do you get a vet job in BitLife?

Open the full-time job list after vet school. Find the vet job, apply, and pass the interview. Destructoid says that the job shows near the top of the list.

What do you do if the vet job is not in the list?

Age up once and check the list again. You can also close and open the app again. Destructoid and Charlie Intel both give these fixes. They also use the same fixes for a missing major or a missing school.

Where is the vet job in BitLife?

The wiki puts the vet jobs in the Veterinary Clinic group. The Career Collections page marks the Veterinarian career with a dog emoji. Look for that emoji in the job list.

How much does a vet make in BitLife?

A Jr. Veterinarian starts at about $47,500 a year, by the wiki. A Sr. Veterinarian starts at about $73,095. The vet ladder has three jobs.

The wiki shows $17,855 for Veterinarian. That number is lower than the junior job, so it is probably an error on the wiki. We could not confirm the real number. Your pay also depends on your country.

How do you get promoted as a vet in BitLife?

Use the Work Harder option at your job. The wiki says that it improves your performance for a short time. Charlie Intel says that a Jr. Veterinarian who takes the job seriously often gets fast promotions.

You can also raise your hours. The job menu lets you work from 38 to 70 hours a week. Do not ask your boss for a promotion often. The wiki says that this can lower your performance.

What happens after 20 years as a vet?

Hold the vet job for 20 years in a row to collect the career. After 20 years in a job, you can also retire and take a pension. The wiki says that the Resign option goes away after 20 years.

Charlie Intel says that you get an achievement after some years in the top vet job. It does not name the achievement. We could not confirm its name.

Is there a vet tech job in BitLife?

No. The wiki job list has no vet tech or vet assistant job. The Veterinary Clinic group has the three vet jobs and the pet groomer jobs only.

What other animal jobs are in BitLife?

  • Apprentice Pet Groomer. It needs no education and promotes to Pet Groomer. The wiki gives an average start of $22,710. The wiki says that you cannot hold it with a criminal record.
  • Dog Walker. A freelance gig from age 13. The wiki gives US rates from $1 to $24.
  • Pet Sitter. A freelance gig from age 13. The wiki gives US rates from $1 to $20.

The wiki says that you can take up to 10 gigs a year. These gigs are a good way to earn money as a teen before university.

Can you run a zoo in BitLife?

Yes, with the Zoo expansion pack. The wiki says that it came out in May 2024 with version 3.14.1. It lets you buy and run your own zoo. A zoo is a business that you own, not a job on the vet ladder.

Which BitLife challenges ask you to become a vet?

The wiki lists two challenges with a vet task. Both are expired. The wiki says that in October 2022, BitLife moved uncompleted challenges into a challenge vault that you pay to open.

Dr. Dolittle Challenge

It ran from 27 February to 3 March 2021. The tasks were:

  • Become a vet
  • Live on a farm, ranch or acreage
  • Have 10+ pets
  • Have a perfect relationship with each of your pets
  • Have no sick pets

DualShockers tells you to get pets from a breeder, a pet store, or a rescue. It also tells you to take the pets to the vet often. That keeps them from getting sick.

Save a Horse Challenge

It ran from 5 to 9 October 2024. You had to be born in Texas and become a veterinarian. You also had to own an equestrian ranch, buy 5+ horses, and hook up with 5+ men.

Crazy Cat Lady Challenge

It ran from 25 to 29 September 2021. It did not ask you to be a vet. One task was to take all of your cats to the vet in the same year.

How do pets work in BitLife?

Pets are animals that your character owns. The wiki says that BitLife added them in March 2019. Each pet has five stats: relationship, health, happiness, smarts, and craziness.

How do you take a pet to the vet in BitLife?

Open the pet and pick the vet option. The wiki says that a pet that acts unusual can need the vet. Some conditions also go away on their own.

Who can own a pet in BitLife?

  • A character of 15 or older can get a pet without permission.
  • A character of 6 or older can get a pet with permission.
  • Exotic pets, horses, and llamas are for adults of 18 or older.
  • A crime can ban you from adoption. The wiki says that you must emigrate to adopt again.
  • A pet that you take back to the shelter can ban you from adoption for good.

Is there a pet ribbon in BitLife?

What are the common mistakes?

  • The wrong major. A major such as Criminal Justice sends you to law school, not vet school. Pick Biology or Chemistry.
  • Low Smarts. Vet school is hard to get into. The wiki says that pharmacy school is much easier.
  • Jail. The wiki lists jail as a reason that you get fired. Stay out of trouble in school and at work.
  • Too many promotion requests. The wiki says that these requests lower your performance.
  • Quitting too early. You need 20 years in a row to collect the career.
