BitLife challenges and scenarios

How BitLife weekly challenges work, what scenarios and the Scenario Creator are, well known challenges with a tip for each, and tips to finish them.

A BitLife challenge is a short list of goals that you must complete in one life. All players get the same list at the same time. When you finish every goal, you win an accessory for your character.

Scenarios are a different thing. In BitLife, a scenario is a pop-up event that asks you to make a choice. There is also an old Scenario Creator, where you write your own pop-up. Both are explained below.

The facts here come from the BitLife wiki and the official BitLife site. We checked them in October 2026. The schedule and the rewards can change with game updates.

A banner in the game tells you when a challenge is coming or live. Open the challenge to read its goals. Then play a life that meets each goal. Most lists start with where you are born, so start a new life for each challenge.

The wiki gives these rules:

  • You must be online for the game to count your progress.
  • When you finish, the Challenges tab shows your rank. The rank depends on how early you finished.
  • The reward is an accessory.
  • Did you meet a goal that the game did not count? Age up, or close the life and open it again.

In 2025, a new challenge started almost every Saturday and stayed live for about five days. In 2026, the wiki lists fewer new challenges. Many weeks bring back an older challenge for one week instead.

Missed a challenge? The wiki says that since October 2022, unfinished past challenges go into the Challenge Vault. You must pay to open it. The July 2026 patch notes from Candywriter say that new challenges were added to the vault.

These goals come from the wiki list. When a challenge comes back, check the list in the game, because a goal can change.

A scenario is an event that pops up during a life and asks what you do. The wiki calls these events. Some come at random, such as an animal encounter or a crime that you see. Others come from your own actions. Your choice can change your relationships, or send you to prison.

Some events are for a limited time only. Holiday events and news events show up for a few days, then go away.

The Scenario Creator

Candywriter added the Scenario Creator in June 2019, first on iOS. You open it from the main menu. It shows a sample pop-up, and you change all the text. Then you save a picture of it and share it.

The wiki says that a custom scenario is only a template. You cannot play it like a real event. A custom scenario shows a "Custom" label in the top right corner. A real event shows a type there instead.

Does it need a paid pack? Our sources do not say that it costs money. They are from 2019, and we found no recent source that says the tool is still in the menu. Look at the bottom of the main menu in your version.

Special Lives

Special Lives were limited-time lives inside the Seasons events. Candywriter removed Seasons in August 2026. So Special Lives are gone for now.

  • Read every goal before you start. Many goals have a deadline, such as "in high school" or "after age 18".
  • Use a custom life. A custom life lets you choose the name, the sex, the country, and the city. That covers the first goal of most challenges.
  • Stay online. The game counts progress only when you are connected.
  • Do the risky goals last. If a goal can send you to prison or kill you, do the safe goals first.
  • Paid items help, but you do not need them. God Mode lets you edit your character. Items such as the Golden Passport remove some luck. See BitLife God Mode and is BitLife free.
  • Start again early. If the first goal fails, start a new life. Do not play 40 years of a life that cannot win.

If you like BitLife's text life, LifeSim is a free life sim in your browser set on a real map of Earth, where people talk back in your own words. It has no weekly challenges and no multiplayer, and it is in English only. See games like BitLife or try the life simulator.

Are BitLife challenges free?

Past challenges are in the Challenge Vault. The wiki says that you must pay to open it. Some goals in live challenges, such as acting, need a paid Job Pack.

What do you win for a challenge?

An accessory for your character. The Challenges tab also shows how early you finished compared to other players.

Why did my challenge not count?

Check that you are online. Then age up, or close the life and open it again. The wiki gives both fixes.

Can I play BitLife challenges on a computer?

Yes, if you run BitLife on a Mac or an emulator. Read BitLife on PC.
