Is there a BitLife 2?
No. Candywriter, the studio that makes BitLife, has not released a game called BitLife 2. We checked on October 14, 2026.
The official BitLife site, the BitLife help pages, and the Candywriter pages on the App Store and Google Play name no BitLife 2. Candywriter updates the first BitLife instead. The site lists new content such as the Movie Director Expansion Pack and an Ultimate Fighter Mode.
Sites and apps that call themselves BitLife 2 are not from Candywriter. This post lists the official games and shows how to spot a fake.
What games does Candywriter make?
The Candywriter developer page on the App Store lists seven apps. The dates come from the App Store.
| App | What it is | First release |
|---|---|---|
| BitLife - Life Simulator | The text life sim, from birth to death | September 2018 |
| BitLife Dogs - DogLife | A BitLife spin-off where you live as a dog | November 2021 |
| BitLife Cats - CatLife | A BitLife spin-off where you live as a cat | January 2022 |
| Word Therapy | A word search game | August 2018 |
| Letter Fridge | A word game | November 2017 |
| Letter Soup | A word game | May 2016 |
| What's the Difference? Spot It | A spot the difference puzzle game | March 2014 |
The Google Play page of Candywriter shows BitLife, DogLife, and CatLife. DogLife and CatLife are the closest thing to a second BitLife. They are new games in the same style, not a sequel.
What about BitLife GO and the language apps?
Search results show an App Store page for an app called BitLife GO! from Candywriter. On October 14, 2026, that page returned an error. Apple's app search did not return it either, and it is not on the Candywriter developer page. We could not confirm what it was, so do not take it as a sequel.
BitLife also had separate apps for other languages: French, Portuguese, Spanish, and German. The German app, BitLife DE, comes from Stillfront Germany. Stillfront also owns Candywriter, according to the BitLife site.
The BitLife help page says these language apps are being retired. Players move to the main BitLife app and pick a language in Settings. The page says the French and Portuguese apps leave the stores in September 2026 and the Spanish app in October 2026. The German app leaves later. Saves stay in the old app, but support can help you move purchases.
What are the BitLife 2 sites and apps online?
When we searched for BitLife 2, we found three kinds of pages:
- Browser game sites with a page named BitLife 2. They describe a sequel with new features, but no Candywriter page backs this. They also list many unrelated games and run ads.
- Mod APK sites that offer an unlocked BitLife file to install by hand, outside Google Play.
- App store results for other life sims, from other developers.
None of these is an official BitLife 2. We do not link them. A file from an unknown site can contain anything.

How do you avoid a fake BitLife app?
- Install BitLife only from the App Store or Google Play.
- Check the developer name under the app title. It must say Candywriter, LLC.
- Use the link on bitlifeapp.com, the official site, if you are not sure.
- Do not install an APK file from a website. It does not come from Candywriter.
- Treat any "BitLife 2" with a doubt. Candywriter has not released one.

Want a different life sim?
If you like BitLife's text life, LifeSim is a free life sim in your browser set on a real map of Earth, where people talk back in your own words. It is not BitLife 2, and it is not from Candywriter. It is English only and has no multiplayer. Compare it in games like BitLife, or read about the life simulator.
