Becoming President in BitLife

What you need to become president in BitLife: the job pack, age, degree, each office from School Board to President, campaign tips, and what presidents do.

Buy the Politician job pack, start a life in the United States, and get a university degree. Then climb the political offices: School Board Director, Mayor, Governor, and last, President. You must be at least 35 to run for President.

Save a lot of money on the way. Campaigns cost more at each step, and the presidential race costs millions.

The BitLife help center says job packs add special careers, and it names Politician as one of them. When you own a pack, you can use it in every life. Escapist and Destructoid both say you need the Politician pack or Boss Mode to run for office.

Some older guides say that Bitizenship is the key. The guides we checked from 2024 point to the job pack. Check the Marketplace in your game, because packs can change with updates. Our post is BitLife free lists the other purchases.

Level Winner gives a stricter rule for education. It says Governor needs a college degree and President needs graduate school. Law School is a good choice after your first degree.

You find the offices under Jobs, then Special Careers. Here is the path from the start to the top.

1. Build your stats as a child

Raise Smarts with the library and study. Raise Looks with the gym. Stay out of fights and away from drugs. Level Winner says opponents can use bullying, fights, and addictions against you later.

2. Go to university

Study Political Science. Escapist also lists Economics and Education. Destructoid lists Political Science or Criminal Justice.

3. School Board Director

This is the first office. A high school diploma is enough. Destructoid calls it optional, but it is a cheap way to learn how campaigns work.

4. Mayor

You can run at 25. From Mayor on, you pick a party. Destructoid suggests two terms as Mayor before you go higher.

5. Governor

A Governor campaign costs much more than a Mayor campaign. Level Winner says that as Governor you become a famous politician.

6. President

Run at 35 or older. Level Winner suggests two terms at each office first, but says you can skip one. Each term is four years.

When you run, you choose a party, the issues you focus on, and a campaign budget. Then you answer questions and events.

  • Spend enough. Level Winner says at least $5 million, and $20 million or more for a major party. Escapist suggests $20 million. Campaign money does not come back if you lose.
  • Respect your opponent. You can show respect, indifference, or disrespect. Level Winner calls respect the safest choice.
  • Deny false rumors. From Mayor on, rumors come up. Denying a false rumor is the safe answer. Admitting a true one usually loses.
  • Choose calm, sensible answers. Gfinity Esports says the most logical options give you the best chance.
  • Build fame. A large, verified social media following helps your chances.

If you lose, Level Winner says you must wait four years to run again.

  • Set your agenda. You split your hours over nine issues, such as the economy, healthcare, foreign policy, and national security. A bad balance lowers your approval.
  • Pass or veto laws. Unpopular laws lower your approval rating.
  • Hold rallies and give speeches. These raise your approval. Read the headlines to see what the public wants.
  • Play golf. It lowers stress, but too much golf lowers your approval.
  • Face events. Some events offer a bribe to pass a law. You get cash, but you can lose your job if people find out.

Be careful with money. Level Winner says bribes and paid fame work, such as commercials, can lead to impeachment. Impeachment almost always removes you from office. Gfinity Esports says the presidency pays the highest salary of the political jobs.
