How to become an actor in BitLife

The steps to become an actor in BitLife: the Actor Job Pack, looks, acting lessons, agents and auditions, how to get famous, and mistakes to avoid.

Buy the Actor Job Pack, or Boss Mode, which includes it. Keep your looks high and take acting lessons from age 8. At 18, open Occupation, then Special Careers, then Actor. Take extra roles, hire a talent agent, and audition until you land parts.

We checked these steps with the official BitLife Help Center, the BitLife wiki, and three game guides. We checked them in October 2026. Some guides are a few years old, and Candywriter can change the career in an update.

RequirementWhat you need
Job PackThe Actor Job Pack, or Boss Mode. Boss Mode unlocks all current and future Job Packs.
Age18 or older to take roles. Acting lessons can start at age 8.
LooksHigh. Guides say above average, and some say above 80%.
Acting skillAs high as you can get it, from lessons and the school Drama Club.
MoneyEnough savings to pay a talent agent. A normal job first helps.

The Help Center says that a Job Pack adds a special career to your base game. Once you own it, you can use it in any life.

We do not print the price of the Actor pack. Guides gave different numbers. The US App Store lists Boss Mode at $20.99 in October 2026. Your store shows the price for your country. See is BitLife free for the other purchases.

  • Take acting lessons from age 8. Go to Activities, then Mind & Body, then Lessons. Your parents can pay for them. If they say no, ask again next year.
  • Join the Drama Club. Join it from your school activities. The wiki says that it raises your acting skill for free.
  • Take lessons once a year. Touch, Tap, Play says that only the first lesson each year raises your skill.
  • Protect your looks. Go to the gym, and stay away from drugs and alcohol.

As an adult, you pay for lessons yourself. You can check your skill on the meter in the acting lessons screen.

With God Mode, you can give a new character the Acting special talent and edit the looks stat. This is optional.

At 18, open Occupation, then Special Careers, then Actor. The wiki lists three options:

  • Extra. You see the title, the budget, and your part. You accept or decline. An extra role can get you noticed by an agent.
  • Talent agent. An agent finds auditions for you. Guides say that you pay to find one, so save money first.
  • Audition. Try out for a TV show or a movie part yourself.

Start with extra roles if nobody casts you. Keep auditioning every year. Charlie INTEL says the old Voiceover Actor job is gone. The agent and the auditions are now the way in.

There is no "Fame pack" in BitLife. The fame system is part of the game. You need the Actor Job Pack for this career.

Take many roles, and take roles in popular shows and movies. Aim for lead roles too. The challenge lists on the wiki name lead roles in films. They also name the Bitcademy Award and Bitty Awards.

Actors also have their own career bar, separate from fame. The wiki says it goes up when your show or movie becomes popular. You must have a big part in it.

When you are famous, Activities shows a Fame menu. There you can do commercials, magazine shoots, talk shows, and write a book. Posts on social media also raise fame a little. A famous life can end with the Famous ribbon.

Want to skip the wait? The Hollywood Star is a one-time purchase. The Help Center says it makes you famous right away when you get a job such as Actor.

  • No Job Pack. Without the Actor pack or Boss Mode, the Actor career is locked.
  • No lessons in childhood. Free lessons from your parents end. Later you pay yourself.
  • Low looks. Guides agree that looks matter for roles. Drugs and an unhealthy life lower them.
  • Only big auditions. Take extra roles and small parts while you build up.
  • Quitting after fame. The wiki says fame drops when you quit the job that made you famous. It also drops as your looks fall or you get older.
  • The wrong pack. The Movie Director Expansion Pack from September 2026 is for directing films. It is not the Actor pack.
