How do you become royalty in BitLife?
You become royalty in BitLife in one of two ways. You are born into a royal family, or you marry a royal. Both ways work only in a country that has a monarchy.
The free game gives you both ways, but both depend on luck. God Mode, a paid add-on, removes the luck from the birth way. With God Mode, you pick a royal status when you make the character.
We opened every guide in the sources on October 25, 2026. The guides date from 2020 to 2026. BitLife changes with each update, so check the menus in your own game.
Do you need to pay to be born royal in BitLife?
No. A random life in a royal country can start in the royal family. Touch Tap Play says that you get “a random chance to be born into royalty” there.
The free way takes patience. Make a new life in a royal country. If the character is not royal, start again. Touch Tap Play calls the chance “moderately high.” Gfinity Esports is less hopeful. It says that the free game has no guaranteed route.
The paid way: God Mode
Gfinity Esports says that God Mode lets you set Commoner or Royal status. Destructoid says that God Mode lets you “select your noble rank, bypassing the luck altogether.” Our BitLife God Mode guide covers what else the add-on edits.
Is there a Royalty pack?
No. We read the purchase list on the App Store page today. It lists Bitizenship, God Mode, Boss Mode, Time Machine, Remove Ads, and three expansion packs. It lists no Royalty pack. Royalty is part of the free game.
Some GameRant guides say “the premium pack” or “premium mode” for the royal start. They do not name the purchase. The other guides name God Mode. Read the in-game store text before you pay. For the full list of purchases, see what BitLife costs.
How do you marry into royalty in BitLife?
Live in a royal country, find a royal through the Love menu, and marry them. Destructoid names two ways to find a royal.
| Way | Cost | What Destructoid says |
|---|---|---|
| Date option in the Love menu | Free | Rare. It can take several in-game years. A royal that you find this way says yes. |
| Celebrity Dating App | $100,000 in-game cash | Pick royalty in the menu, and you find one. The royal can still say no. |
Use these steps:
- Start a life in a royal country.
- Raise your looks and your money. Touch Tap Play says that the royal family has high standards.
- Find a royal with the Date option or the Celebrity Dating App.
- Keep the partner happy with compliments, gifts, and time together.
- Propose, or wait for the partner to propose.
Destructoid lists what happens after the wedding. You quit your job, and you take the royal title of your spouse. The game shares your assets, and it gives no option for a prenuptial agreement.
For the marriage steps in other games, read how to get married in The Sims 4.
What countries have royalty in BitLife?
Seventeen countries have royalty in BitLife. Gfinity Esports, Destructoid, and Touch Tap Play give the same list.
| Country | Highest title |
|---|---|
| Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom | King or Queen |
| Jordan, Malaysia, Monaco, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Thailand | Not given by country in our sources |
| Japan | Emperor or Empress |
| Kuwait, Qatar, UAE | Emir or Emira |
Destructoid gives the titles for Japan, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE. It says that most European countries and “a few non-European countries” have a king or queen. Our sources do not give the top title for each of the other six countries.
Which royal country is best?
Destructoid picks Monaco for money. It says that royals in Monaco get “the highest starting salary and a 0 percent tax rate.” If you want to be king or queen, pick a country from the first row.
You cannot be royal in any other country. Gfinity Esports gives the example of the USA.
How do you become king or queen in BitLife?
Be born a prince or princess, and wait for the monarch to die. Then the game makes you the next ruler. Touch Tap Play calls you “the next heir” at that point.
The royal titles
Destructoid lists the titles from highest to lowest:
- King or Queen
- Prince or Princess
- Duke or Duchess
- Marquess or Marchioness
- Earl or Countess
- Viscount or Viscountess
- Baron or Baroness
The title at birth matters. Destructoid says that you cannot become king “as a baron, viscount, or duke.” You must be born a prince, or marry a princess.
The line of succession
Older siblings come first. Destructoid says: “If your character has older siblings, they’ll take on the title instead.” GameRant says to “wait for your parents and siblings to pass away.” Then your character becomes the ruler.
Some guides say that you can kill the people ahead of you. GameRant says that this “obviously comes with risks.” The other choice is a new life with no older siblings.
Keep your character healthy while you wait. GameRant says to avoid drinking and drugs, and to follow a diet. For a different road to power, read how to become president in BitLife.
What can royals do in BitLife?
Royals get money, fame, and power over laws and lives. Find the actions under Activities, then Royalty.
- Money: Gfinity Esports says that royals have much more cash and do not need a normal job.
- Laws: royals vote to pass or deny law proposals, as a politician does.
- Celebrities: royals can mingle with celebrities of their choice.
- Fame: Touch Tap Play says that the ruler becomes famous and must keep a good public image.
- Execute: the ruler can order executions. Destructoid names burning at the stake as one method.
- Public Disservice: a menu of misdeeds that lowers your respect.
- Abdicate: give up the title. GameRant shows this option in two guides.
Executions come with the top title. DualShockers says that you execute people after you reach the top of royalty. It adds that executions hurt your standing.
How does respect work for BitLife royals?
Respect is a bar in the Royalty tab. It shows what your people think of you. If it falls too low, your people remove you.
Touch Tap Play calls it a “respect gauge.” It says that the lower the bar goes, the greater the chance that the country votes you out.
What lowers respect in BitLife?
Executions and the Public Disservice menu lower respect. Gfinity Esports says that too many executions can make your people revolt. Unpopular laws also hurt you.
What happens at zero respect
Touch Tap Play says that you lose your royal status at zero. The game then sends you to Mongolia. Gfinity Esports says that your people chase you out of the castle and take the title.
How to keep respect high
Touch Tap Play lists help for the local community among the royal powers. Pick that kind of action, and keep executions rare. Our BitLife karma guide covers the hidden stat that rewards kind choices.
Can you abdicate in BitLife?
Yes. Go to Activities, then Royalty, then Abdicate. Two GameRant guides, from 2024 and 2025, give this path.
The guides disagree here. Gfinity Esports says that the only way to leave the throne is to be overthrown. GameRant shows the Abdicate option in February 2024 and in April 2025. The April 2025 guide is the newest, so we trust it.
Abdication ends your royal status. GameRant does not describe other effects. We found no page that we could open to say who takes the crown after you. So we left that out.
Which BitLife challenges need royalty?
Many weekly challenges ask you to be royal. The table shows the challenges that we found in guides that we opened.
| Challenge | Royal tasks | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Red Queen | Become a queen, own a haunted royal estate, use 10+ execution methods | DualShockers, 2021 |
| Mother of Dragons | Become queen, abdicate, emigrate to Croatia | GameRant, 2024 |
| Disco Inferno | Become king, execute five people by burning at the stake | Destructoid, 2024 |
| Lord of the Underworld | Be born a prince, then abdicate after the royal parent dies | GameRant, 2025 |
| Queen Mother | Be Queen of England for 70 years, have 20+ babies during the reign | GameRant, 2026 |
Each guide lists more tasks than the table shows. Read the guide before you start. Our guide to BitLife challenges explains how the weekly challenges work.
Is there a royalty ribbon?
We found none. The ribbon lists that we searched name no royal ribbon. A ribbon depends on the whole life, not on a title. See the full list of BitLife ribbons.
Is there a life sim with no royal titles to chase?
Yes. LifeSim has no crown, no titles, and no respect bar. It is a different kind of game.
In LifeSim, you live one life in a real city on Earth. You talk to people in your own words. They remember what you said. LifeSim is free in the browser and has nothing to buy.
LifeSim does not fit you if you want to rule a country or order executions. It has no royalty system. Stay with BitLife for that. For other options, read games like BitLife.
