Daily hours and pay in the Athlete career

In the first two levels, you work 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Your shifts start at 09:00 and last for 8 hours. You earn 16 Simoleons per hour at level 1, and 19 Simoleons per hour at level 2.

At levels 3 and 4, your schedule changes to 35 hours per week. You get Mondays and Thursdays off, and you work on weekends instead. Your daily shift drops to 7 hours, starting in the afternoon.

Pay grows steadily as you move up the ranks, reaching 1,365 Simoleons per week at level 4. You also earn more paid time off, increasing from 0.2 days per workday at level 1 to 0.3333 at level 10. If your Sim quits the job, their rejoin level drops by one level every 2 days.

Choosing Professional Athlete or Bodybuilder at level 5

The Professional Athlete branch offers the highest total weekly income. At level 10, a Hall of Famer earns 9,990 Simoleons per week. You work 30 hours per week across five 6-hour afternoon shifts, making 333 Simoleons per hour.

The Bodybuilder branch gives you more free time and higher hourly pay at the top. A level 10 Mr/Ms. Solar System earns 500 Simoleons per hour, totaling 9,000 Simoleons per week. You only work 18 hours per week across Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Pick the Professional Athlete branch if you want the maximum weekly Simoleons. Pick the Bodybuilder branch if you prefer morning shifts and four days off per week at level 10.

Getting promoted faster and using Athlete cheats

When your work performance is near the promotion line, you have a 1% base chance of an early promotion. The Entrepreneurial trait applies a multiplier of 10 to this chance. Having the Growth Mindset moodlet applies a multiplier of 5.

Your work performance can also fall to the demotion line at the end of a shift. This gives a 100% base chance of demotion. The Professional Slacker trait multiplies this chance by 0, which prevents demotions completely.
