In the first five levels, you work Monday through Friday for 8 hours a day. This gives you a 40-hour workweek. Shifts start at 09:00 for levels 1 and 2, then move to 10:00 for levels 3 through 5.
Your weekly pay grows from 720 Simoleons as a Rag Reviewer to 2,800 Simoleons as a Culture Columnist. Each day you work also earns you paid time off, starting at 0.2 days per shift. If your Sim quits the job, the level they rejoin at drops by 1 every 2 days.
Certain traits and degrees add a percent bonus to your hourly pay. A Fine Art or Art History BA with honors adds 41% to your hourly rate. The Knowledge trait adds 30%, Valedictorian adds 15%, and Business Savvy adds 10%.
Choosing between Trend Setter and Stylist branches
When you reach level 6, you pick either the Trend Setter branch or the Stylist branch. Both branches change your workdays to Tuesday through Saturday, giving you Sunday and Monday off. You work 35 hours per week from levels 6 to 8, and 30 hours at levels 9 and 10.
