Charisma skill

Each level of Charisma requires more skill points than the level before it. You need only 100 points to reach level 1, and 1,440 more points to reach level 2. By level 5, you need 5,280 points from level 4, bringing your total points to 12,580.

The point requirements grow much larger in the second half of the skill. Moving from level 6 to level 7 takes 10,140 points, which is a noticeable jump. Reaching level 10 takes 21,120 points from level 9, for a total of 81,580 points overall.

Your Sim's current emotion changes how fast you earn Charisma skill points. Being Very Flirty gives a 1.54 gain multiplier, and being Flirty gives a 1.32 multiplier. Confident gives a 1.16667 multiplier, while Very Confident gives a 1.14286 multiplier.

You should avoid building Charisma while your Sim has negative emotions. Being Angry, Embarrassed, or Sad lowers your skill gain multiplier to 0.8. Enraged and Mortified lower your multiplier to 0.4, which makes leveling up very slow.

You can stack traits and moodlets with emotions because several multipliers multiply together. The Great Kisser trait gives a 3 multiplier, and the Heroic Presence trait gives a 2 multiplier. General skill boosts like Snaggle Flustered multiply your gain by 4, while Parental Guidance multiplies it by 3.

Higher levels of Charisma unlock social options and financial interactions. At level 5, you can create a social media profile and teach about Charisma. Levels 7 and 9 let you ask for a small or large bribe and loan, and level 10 unlocks Negotiate.

The Athlete career requires Charisma for promotions starting at career level 2, which asks for skill level 2. In the Bodybuilder branch, promotion from career level 9 requires Charisma level 8. In the Professional Athlete branch, promotion from career level 8 requires Charisma level 6.

If you want to skip the work, you can use a cheat in Live mode. Open the cheat console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type testingcheats true, then enter stats.set_skill_level statistic_Skill_AdultMajor_Charisma 10 to reach the maximum level.
