When does inZOI come out on PS5?
The developers plan to release inZOI on PlayStation 5 in the first half of 2027. They have no exact date. They announced the plan on May 15, 2026, in a post on the official inZOI forum.
The plan is a delay. The first plan was a PS5 release in 2026. In August 2025, Krafton said that inZOI was scheduled to launch on PS5 in 2026. The studio then moved the target by about one half year.
This post gives the facts that we found today, October 2, 2026. It says what the studio said, what it did not say, and what you can play while you wait. You read this on the LifeSim blog. We make a different kind of life sim, and we say where it fits at the end.
Why did the PS5 version move to 2027?
The studio wants the console version to feel complete on the first day. The PC version is different. It launched in Early Access, and players accepted the gaps.
In the forum post, the developer Kjun wrote that the team wanted to bring the PS5 version within this year. Kjun then explained why the team changed the plan. The team decided that console players expect a more complete game at launch.
The post names three areas of work:
- The team redesigns the controls for the DualSense controller.
- The team optimizes the game for the fixed hardware of the PS5.
- The team makes the base game satisfying without large patches after launch.
We did not find a list of the features that the PS5 version will have. We did not find a price. Do not trust a site that gives you both. The studio has not published them.
Is inZOI coming to Xbox?
Not confirmed. In August 2025, Krafton said that an Xbox release was under consideration, but that it was not confirmed.
The May 2026 forum post does not announce an Xbox version. In the thread, one player asked for Xbox Series X support. The studio did not answer with a plan in the part of the post that we read.
Treat Xbox as unknown. A studio that says "under consideration" has not made a promise. If an Xbox date appears, it will come from the studio, not from a rumor.
Can you play inZOI today?
Yes, on PC. inZOI is in Early Access on Steam. We opened the Steam page on October 2, 2026. It lists Windows and Mac.
The Steam page lists a price of $39.99. On the day that we read it, the page showed a 20% discount, for a price of $31.99, until October 8. Discounts end. Check the page before you buy.
What does your PC need?
The Steam page lists these requirements:
- Windows, minimum: a graphics card of the RTX 2060 class and 12 GB of RAM.
- Windows, recommended: a graphics card of the RTX 3070 class and 16 GB of RAM.
- Mac, minimum: an Apple M1 chip and 16 GB of RAM. Recommended: an M3 chip.
- Storage: 40 to 60 GB, depending on the platform.
A PS5 owner who has no gaming PC cannot play this version. That is the group that the 2027 plan serves.
What do Steam players say?
The Steam page showed 79% positive reviews from 14,436 players. The reviews of the last 30 days were 84% positive from 643 players. These numbers change every day.
Which life sims can you play on a PlayStation now?
The Sims 4 runs on PlayStation. EA lists the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Store on its page for the game, next to the EA app, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. EA marks the game as "Play for Free" with an asterisk. The base game is free. Packs and kits cost money.

Paralives, a newer rival, is on PC and Mac. Its official site lists Steam Early Access for those two platforms. It does not list a console. We wrote about it in the Paralives release date post.
What does Early Access mean for the PC version?
The PC version is not a finished game. The Steam page says that the game launched in Early Access in March 2025. It says that the developers plan to improve the game for at least a year, based on community feedback.
The plan can change. The Steam page says that the roadmap depends on feedback. A feature that is on a plan today can move or leave.
Wikipedia lists two more dates. The macOS version came out on August 20, 2025. Official mod support began in May 2025. Wikipedia also reports more than one million copies sold in the first week.
These facts matter for the PS5 plan. The studio says that the console version will not copy this path. It will aim to be more complete on the first day.
Should you wait for the PS5 version?
Wait if you only play on a console and you want inZOI. There is no way to play it on a PS5 before 2027.
A target of "first half of 2027" is a plan. Studios move plans, and this studio already moved this one one time. Do not pre-order on the belief that the date is firm. Do not buy a console only for this game.
Watch the official inZOI forum and the Steam page for news. Both are first-party. A video or a post that claims a date with no link to the studio gives you no proof.
How can you follow the news about the PS5 version?
Use first-party sources. The studio posts on the official inZOI forum, and the Steam page shows the state of the PC game.
Check the date of each post. The May 15, 2026 post replaced the older plan for 2026. A site that still says 2026 is out of date.
Ignore a site that gives an exact day with no link to the studio. The studio has given a window, not a day. When a day exists, the studio will publish it first.
Is there a life sim that runs on any device now?
LifeSim runs in a browser. You need no download and no console. You open the page on a phone or a computer and start a life.
LifeSim is not a replacement for inZOI. inZOI is a 3D game with a character creator that has more than 250 options, according to its Steam page. LifeSim has a different aim. You live one life on a map of the real Earth. The people in the world remember what you said.
