inZOI high school

Yes. The June 19, 2026 update (v0.9.0) added active gameplay for high school. The patch notes say: “Active gameplay for high school has been added.” Teen Zois can now enroll, follow a timetable, take tests, join clubs, and go to prom.

This guide lists what the notes say about school. We did not play the update ourselves. Check each detail in your own game, because inZOI is in Early Access and changes often. You read this on the LifeSim blog. We make a browser life sim, and we say where our game does not fit.

Schools are available in Dowon, Bliss Bay, and Cahaya. A teen Zoi can enroll and stay until graduation as a Young Adult.

Some schools fill up. When a school is full, the extra students attend a rabbit hole school.

You can ask for a transfer in the school app on the smartphone. The grades that your Zoi earned carry over to the new school.

The timetable

Students follow a set timetable. The classes are Science, Art, Skill, Physical Education, and General. A student has a locker and can eat in the cafeteria.

Tests and grades

The school holds tests every week. A grade reflects two things: the test scores and the behavior in class. Good tests alone do not decide the grade.

Poor grades have a cost. The notes say that students can receive warnings, and can be expelled from the school if their grades are poor.

The exam fix

The same-day hotfix (v0.9.1) fixed a problem where a Zoi would not take the exam during exam time. If your Zoi misses an exam, update the game first. The notes also list fixes for the school app display and for warnings that showed on days with no school.

The notes list four clubs: cooking, fitness, cheerleading, and programming. Each club has skill requirements.

A club gives your Zoi a reason to build a skill. Raise the skill first, then join. We did not find the exact skill levels in the notes, so check them in the game.

Prom includes partner requests. The students vote for the prom king and queen. Graduation follows when the Zoi completes the curriculum.

The same update adds hand-holding, consequences for cheating, new baby traits, and high chairs. A teen life now links to the other parts of the game. Read every inZOI update of 2026 for the full list.

The notes leave out some things. We list them so that you do not look for them.

• The notes do not describe a college. We found no college feature in them.
• The notes do not list the skill levels for the clubs.

The April 29 update made school, career, and business separate categories that can overlap when the schedules do not conflict. That change matters for a teen who has a part-time job. The June notes fix a missing To-Do entry for some teen part-time jobs.

Pay and leave

The April notes say that pay is daily. A Zoi can take paid leave, sick leave, or remote work. This helps a teen who has a job and a school timetable.

Team projects

Team projects run from day 1 through day 4. The final contribution of the Zoi sets the grade and the rewards. The notes name team projects as a job feature. We found no note that says school uses the same system, so do not assume it.

Part-time jobs for teens

The June notes fix a missing To-Do entry for some teen part-time jobs. This shows that teens can hold part-time jobs. The notes do not list which jobs a teen can take.

The same update adds school outfits and baby outfits to Create a Zoi. It adds antique furniture and school interaction objects to Build mode. The shoulder view has a wider field of view.

You can use these items in your own save. If you make a home, you can build a study corner for the teen. The notes do not say that a desk gives a bonus to grades, so build it for looks only.

Players who use mods have two more changes. The in-game CurseForge browser has an update, and CLO Connect is supported. Read inZOI mods for the safe way to add mods.

The notes give a fixed timetable and weekly tests. Use these rules to plan:

1. Keep the timetable first. Add a job or a club only in the free hours.
2. Check the tests each week. Plan the rest of the day around them.
3. Watch the warnings. Poor grades can end in expulsion.
4. Raise the skill for a club before you join it.
5. Keep time for the needs of the Zoi, such as food and sleep.

These rules come from the facts in the notes. They are not rules from the developers. Test them in your own game.

Follow these steps:

1. Back up your saves. The notes advise this.
2. Update inZOI on Steam or the Mac App Store.
3. Open the game. Mods start disabled after the update. Turn on only the mods that you need.
4. Load a household that has a teen Zoi.
5. Open the school app on the smartphone of the teen.
