You can select this trait in Create a Sim when making a Child Sim. You can also add or remove it in Live mode with the cheat console.

Active Imagination cheat

What the Active Imagination trait changes in play

This trait slows down two need bars. Both the Fun need and the Social need drain ×0.75 as fast. This multiplier lets your Child Sim play alone longer before needing attention or entertainment.

The trait also brings 5 unique moodlets that push different emotions. Creative Spark gives an Energized weight of 4 for 4 hours. Flashback adds an Inspired weight of 2 for 3 hours.

Other moodlets bring negative emotions. Timid adds an Uncomfortable weight of 3 for 4 hours, while Imagination TOO Active adds a Scared weight of 3 for 2 hours. Finally, Doldrums gives a Bored weight of 2 for 3 hours.

Who gets Active Imagination and how to equip it

Only human Child Sims can have the Active Imagination trait. It does not conflict with other traits in the game. It also does not replace standard moodlets or unlock special interactions.

You can pick the trait in Create a Sim, or use cheats in Live mode. Open the cheat console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type traits.equip_trait trait_ActiveImagination to add it, or traits.remove_trait trait_ActiveImagination to remove it.
