What the Bro trait changes in play
Sims with the Bro trait gain 2 unique moodlets during play. The Sports Rule moodlet adds a Confident weight of 1 and lasts for 4 hours, or 240 Sim minutes. The Hangin' with Bros moodlet gives a Happy weight of 1 and has no timer, meaning it lasts while its cause lasts.
This trait does not apply any hidden multipliers, career pay bonuses, or moodlet replacements. Instead, 6 interactions in the game check for the Bro trait when your Sim acts.
These checked interactions include Bro Bump, Bro Gift, Bro Hug, and Discuss Conquests. The game also checks for the trait during Taunt About University Superiority and Treadmill Accident.
Who gets the Bro trait and conflicts
Only human Sims who are Teens, Young Adults, Adults, or Elders can have the Bro trait. It conflicts with the Grouch trait, so you cannot pick both for the same Sim.
You can select the trait in Create a Sim when making or editing a household. No in-game interactions award this trait during play.
You can also add or remove the trait in Live mode using the cheat console. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac to open the box. Type traits.equip_trait trait_Bro to add it, or traits.remove_trait trait_Bro to remove it, without needing testingcheats.
