Active trait
Active is a personality trait from the base game, for Child to Elder Sims. It changes 4 standard moodlets: Can I Sit, Please? becomes Sedentary Confusion (Fine +1). Its strongest own moodlet is Not Enough Exercise (Tense +1). Cheat: traits.equip_trait trait_active.
The Active trait is a base game personality trait for human Sims in The Sims 4. You can pick it in Create a Sim or add it with a cheat in Live mode.
This trait changes how your Sim reacts to sitting and gives them a unique Tense moodlet. It also unlocks or affects 7 interactions, including push ups, sit ups, and stretching.

Open the cheat console with Ctrl + Shift + C and type the line. It works without testingcheats. It gives the trait to the Sim you control (how traits.equip_trait works).

How the Active trait changes moodlets and actions
Active Sims have 1 unique moodlet called Not Enough Exercise. This moodlet gives a Tense emotion with a weight of 1 and has no timer, meaning it lasts while its cause lasts.
The trait also replaces several sitting moodlets with Fine moodlets that have a weight of 1. For example, instead of getting Tense for 4 hours from Can I Sit, Please?, an Active Sim gets Sedentary Confusion. It also replaces Uncomfortable sitting withdrawal moodlets of weight 3 or 5 with a Fine moodlet.
In addition, 7 interactions check for the Active trait. These include Do Push Ups, Do Sit Ups, Stretch, Fire Up, and Argue about Exercising. Sims also use this trait when they Comb Beach for Seashells or Comb Beach for Trash.
Who can be Active and how to get it
The Active trait is available for human Sims at the Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder ages. It conflicts with the Lazy trait, so a Sim cannot have both at the same time.
You can select this trait in Create a Sim when making or editing a household. You can also add or remove it in Live mode using the cheat console.
Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac to open the cheat box. Type traits.equip_trait trait_active to add the trait, or traits.remove_trait trait_active to remove it. You do not need to enable testing cheats first.
