Child of the Islands trait

This trait gives your Sim 13 unique moodlets that push them toward Happy, Playful, Confident, Flirty, or Sad moods. The strongest moodlet is Included, which adds a Happy weight of 4 for 4 hours. If things go wrong, the Connection Denied moodlet gives a Sad weight of 2 for 12 hours.

Several moodlets last for 2 days, such as Sulani's Breeze, Sulani's Roots, Sulani's Warmth, and Sulani's Innocence. These long moodlets have a weight of 1 or 2. Shorter moodlets like Making a Difference, Old Island Recipe, and Sulani's Heartbeat last for 4 hours.

The game checks for this trait during 3 interactions. These interactions are Ask for Judgement, Comb Beach for Seashells, and Comb Beach for Trash. The trait does not replace any standard moodlets or grant always-on moodlets.

Human Sims can have the Child of the Islands trait at the Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder ages. You cannot combine it with the Child of the Village trait on the same Sim. You can select it directly in Create a Sim.

You can also use the cheat console in Live mode to add or remove the trait. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC, Cmd + Shift + C on Mac, or all four shoulder buttons on console. Type traits.equip_trait trait_IslandAncestors to add it, or traits.remove_trait trait_IslandAncestors to remove it, without needing testingcheats true.
