Competitive trait
Competitive is a personality trait from Adventure Awaits, for Child to Elder Sims. It changes 5 standard moodlets: it blocks Gamed-Out. Its strongest own moodlet is S.W.E.A.T. (Focused +10, 2 hours). Skill gain for all skills ×1.25. Cheat: traits.equip_trait trait_Competitive.
The Competitive trait is a Personality trait in The Sims 4 from the Adventure Awaits pack. It gives human Sims a skill gain multiplier of ×1.25 for all skills. You can give it to Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder Sims.
Competitive Sims react differently to specific events and get 29 unique moodlets. This trait blocks the Lazy trait, so a Sim cannot have both at the same time. You can pick it in Create a Sim or add it with a cheat in Live mode.

What the Competitive trait changes in gameplay
The biggest advantage of the Competitive trait is the ×1.25 multiplier on skill gain for all skills. This hidden multiplier works alongside other skill boosts in the game. The trait also unlocks two interactions that check for it, Pressure to Abdicate and Research Competitive Metas.
This trait replaces several standard moodlets. It blocks the Bored Gamed-Out moodlet completely, and gives the Focused Good Gaming Session moodlet a 4 hour timer. Instead of a weight 1 Happy Moving On Up moodlet, your Sim gets a weight 5 Confident moodlet for 8 hours.
Other moodlets also change. The Embarrassed Rethinking Options moodlet becomes an Angry moodlet for 8 hours. The Sad Fired moodlet becomes It's Their Loss, which cuts the Sad duration from 1 day to 12 hours. Competitive Sims also get 29 unique moodlets, including a weight 10 Focused moodlet that lasts 2 hours.
Who the trait suits and how to get it
The Competitive trait is available for human Sims from the Child stage through the Elder stage. It conflicts with the Lazy trait, meaning you cannot pick both for the same Sim. The ×1.25 skill gain bonus suits Sims who want to build all skills faster.
You can select the Competitive trait directly in Create a Sim if you own the Adventure Awaits pack. In gameplay, the Make Real interaction can also give this trait to a Sim.
To add or remove the trait right away, use the cheat console in Live mode. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC, or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type traits.equip_trait trait_Competitive to add it, or traits.remove_trait trait_Competitive to remove it. You do not need to enable testingcheats true for these commands.
