Open the cheat console with Ctrl + Shift + C and type the line. It works without testingcheats. It gives the trait to the Sim you control (how traits.equip_trait works).

What the Animal Enthusiast trait changes in play

This trait gives your Sim 7 custom moodlets. These moodlets pull your Sim toward Happy, Energized, Inspired, Sad, or Embarrassed emotions. The emotion with the largest total weight becomes the Sim's mood.

For example, Top Animal Betrayal gives a Sad weight of 4 and lasts 1 day. Happy Bird-day gives an Inspired weight of 3 for 8 hours, while Missing Furry Friends adds a Sad weight of 1 for 4 hours.

The trait does not add any hidden multiplier effects, career pay bonuses, or moodlet replacements. Also, 0 interactions check for this trait.

Who it suits and how to get it

This trait suits players who want mood swings from the 7 custom moodlets. It does not conflict with any other traits, so you can combine it freely.

You can select the trait in Create a Sim for human Sims of the eligible ages. No in-game interactions grant this trait during normal play.

You can also use the cheat console in Live mode without turning on testingcheats true. Press Ctrl + Shift + C or Cmd + Shift + C to open the console, then enter traits.equip_trait Trait_AnimalEnthusiast to add it.
