What Dog Lover changes in play

Sims with the Dog Lover trait get 4 custom moodlets that pull toward Happy or Sad emotions. The happy moodlets give a weight of 2 for 3 hours or 6 hours in Sim time.

The sad moodlets are stronger and last for 1 day, or 1,440 Sim minutes. Bark No More has a weight of 5, and A Furry Goodbye has a weight of 4. Because the emotion with the largest total weight controls the Sim's mood, these sad moodlets pull hard.

This trait also checks for 1 interaction called Share Love of Dogs. The trait has no always-on moodlets, moodlet replacements, or hidden multipliers.

Who gets Dog Lover and trait conflicts

Only human Sims from the Child age up to the Elder age can have the Dog Lover trait. It does not conflict with any other traits in the game, so you can pair it freely.
