Happy moodlets like Big Fish Friend Sighted, Child of the Ocean, and Fishy Freedom pull toward a positive mood. Big Fish Friend Sighted gives a weight of 3 for 4 hours. Child of the Ocean gives a weight of 2 with no timer, so it lasts while its cause lasts.

Other trait moodlets cause negative feelings. Marooned and Hurting or losing fish friends bring Sad moodlets with a weight of 1 for 2 hours or 4 hours. Stomach Squall gives an Uncomfortable moodlet with a weight of 1 for 4 hours.

The trait also swaps several usual Tense, Uncomfortable, Bored, and Happy moodlets about sitting or staying indoors with Fine moodlets. In addition, 4 interactions check for this trait. These include Mourn Fish Friend, Ask To Be Squirted, Comb Beach for Seashells, and Comb Beach for Trash.
