The Genius trait is a Personality trait in the Base game of The Sims 4. You can give it to human Sims from the Child stage through the Elder stage.

A Sim with the Genius trait can get the Unchallenged moodlet. This moodlet adds a Tense weight of 1 and lasts for 2 hours, or 120 Sim minutes. The emotion with the largest total weight becomes your Sim's mood.

This trait has no hidden multipliers, moodlet replacements, or career pay bonuses. However, 3 interactions in the game check for the Genius trait. These interactions are Reveal Brilliant Invention, Share Brilliant Ideas, and Use Thioacetone Oil.
