The Needy trait is a personality trait for horses in The Sims 4. It comes with the Horse Ranch pack and applies to Child, Adult, and Elder horses.

This trait makes a horse lose its Social need faster than usual. You can select it in Create a Sim or add it with a cheat in Live mode.

The Needy trait has one hidden effect on your horse. Its Social need drains ×1.25 as fast as a standard horse. This multiplier combines with any other active effects on your horse.

Because the Social need drops faster, you must socialize with your horse more often. The trait does not add any special moodlets or replace standard ones. It also does not unlock or check for any specific interactions, with 0 interactions checking for it.

Who it suits, conflicts, and how to get it

This trait suits players who want to spend extra time talking to and caring for their horses. It is available for Child, Adult, and Elder horses. It conflicts with the Independent trait, so a horse cannot have both traits at the same time.

You can pick the Needy trait in Create a Sim when you make or edit a horse. No interactions in the game give this trait during play.
