Perfectionist is a personality trait in The Sims 4 base game. You can give it to human Sims from the Child age up to Elder.

This trait adds 4 unique moodlets that change how your Sim feels. It does not conflict with other traits, and you can pick it in Create a Sim.

Perfectionist cheat

Open the cheat console with Ctrl + Shift + C and type the line. It works without testingcheats. It gives the trait to the Sim you control (how traits.equip_trait works).

How the Perfectionist trait changes gameplay

Perfectionist changes your Sim's mood through 4 custom moodlets. The emotion with the largest total weight becomes your Sim's active mood.

Three of the moodlets give positive emotions. Perfectly Made adds a Happy weight of 3 for 4 hours. In The Zone gives a Focused weight of 2 for 8 hours, and Focused Payoff gives an Inspired weight of 2 for 4 hours.

One moodlet causes a negative emotion. Imperfect Work gives an Embarrassed weight of 2 for 3 hours. The trait has no hidden multipliers, career pay bonuses, or moodlet replacements.

Who gets the Perfectionist trait and how

Human Sims at the Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder ages can have this trait. It does not conflict with any other traits in the game, so you can pair it freely.

You can select Perfectionist in Create a Sim. You can also use a cheat in Live mode to add or remove it. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac to open the cheat console.

Type traits.equip_trait trait_Perfectionist to add the trait to your active Sim. Type traits.remove_trait trait_Perfectionist to take it away. You do not need to enable testing cheats first.
