What the Romantic trait changes in play
Sims with the Romantic trait receive 2 unique moodlets. Charmed by Nature gives a Flirty moodlet with a weight of 2 for 4 hours. Lovelorn gives a Tense moodlet with a weight of 1 for 2 hours.
This trait also replaces several usual moodlets with milder versions. For example, the Engaged and Just Married replacements drop from a weight of 3 to 1 and last 4 hours. It also turns Tense moodlets like Neglecting Myself into a Fine moodlet called To Love or Not to Love.
The game checks for the Romantic trait during 2 interactions: Argue about Romance and Offer Rose. The trait does not add hidden multipliers or career pay bonuses.
Conflicts, requirements, and how to get it
Only human Sims who are Teens, Young Adults, Adults, or Elders can have the Romantic trait. It conflicts with the Unflirty and Romantically Reserved traits, so you cannot combine them on the same Sim.
You can pick this trait in Create a Sim. To add or remove it in Live mode, open the cheat console. Type traits.equip_trait Trait_Romantic to add it, or traits.remove_trait Trait_Romantic to remove it, without needing testing cheats.
