Idealist Sims have 13 trait moodlets that change their emotions during play. The listed moodlets have a weight of 1 and last 8 hours, which is 480 Sim minutes. This low weight gives a small push toward an emotion, while strong events still take over.

Positive moodlets make your Sim Happy, Confident, or Inspired, such as Act of Kindness, Future Focused, and My Idol. Negative events cause Angry or Embarrassed moodlets like Vision Rejected, Righteous Frustration, and Guilty Conscience. The trait does not have always-on moodlets, moodlet replacements, hidden multipliers, or career pay bonuses.

Who gets the trait and how to cheat

Human Sims can use the Idealist trait starting at the Teen age stage. Young Adults, Adults, and Elders can also have it. You cannot select it if your Sim already has the Shady trait.

To add or remove it in Live mode, open the cheat console. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC, or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. You do not need to turn on testing cheats first.

Type traits.equip_trait trait_Idealist to give the trait to your active Sim. Type traits.remove_trait trait_Idealist if you want to take it away.
