What the Loves Outdoors trait changes in play

This trait gives Sims 5 moodlets of its own. Four of these pull toward a Happy mood with a weight of 1 or 2, while Cooped Up pulls toward Tense with a weight of 1. Timed moodlets from this trait last 4 hours, and those with no timer last while their cause lasts.

The trait also replaces usual moodlets with its own versions. Instead ofTense moodlets with weights of 3 or 5, your Sim gets Fine moodlets of the same weight. A usual Happy moodlet that lasts 2 days gains a stronger weight of 2 instead of 1.

Other replacements swap a Bored moodlet and a Happy moodlet for Fine moodlets that last 4 hours. Five interactions also check for this trait, including Enthuse about Outdoors and Comb Beach for Seashells. The trait does not add career pay bonuses or hidden multipliers.

Conflicts, ages, and how to get the trait

You can pick Loves Outdoors in Create a Sim for Children, Teens, Young Adults, Adults, and Elders. It conflicts with the Squeamish trait, so one Sim cannot have both. The Travel to Moonwood Mill interaction can also give a Sim this trait.

You can add or remove the trait in Live mode using the cheat console. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac to open the box. Type traits.equip_trait trait_LovesOutdoors to add it, or traits.remove_trait trait_LovesOutdoors to remove it, without needing testingcheats true.
