What does the Noncommittal trait do in The Sims 4?
Noncommittal trait
Noncommittal is a personality trait from the base game, for Young Adult to Elder Sims. It changes 2 standard moodlets: Wedding Fantasy becomes Cold Feet (Tense +1). Its strongest own moodlet is Career Freedom (Happy +2, 8 hours). Cheat: traits.equip_trait trait_CommitmentIssues.
Noncommittal is a base game personality trait in The Sims 4. You can give it to human Sims who are Young Adults, Adults, or Elders.
This trait gives your Sim 3 unique moodlets and replaces Wedding Fantasy moodlets with Tense ones. The tests for 1 interaction, Discuss Fear of Commitment, also check for this trait.

How the Noncommittal trait changes moodlets and interactions
Noncommittal Sims get 3 own moodlets that pull their emotions toward Tense or Happy. Feeling Smothered and Feeling Trapped both add a Tense weight of 1 for 4 hours. Career Freedom adds a stronger Happy weight of 2 and lasts for 8 hours.
This trait also replaces the usual Wedding Fantasy moodlet. Instead of feeling Flirty or Happy with a weight of 1 for 4 hours, your Sim gets Cold Feet. Cold Feet adds a Tense weight of 1 for 3 hours.
The trait does not add hidden multipliers or career pay bonuses. In addition, the tests for the Discuss Fear of Commitment interaction ask for this trait.
Trait conflicts, eligible ages, and cheats
Only human Sims can have the Noncommittal trait, and they must be Young Adults, Adults, or Elders. You cannot combine it with the Family-Oriented, Loyal, or Lovebug traits. You can pick this trait in Create a Sim.
You can also add or remove it in Live mode with the cheat console. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC, or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac, to open the box. Type traits.equip_trait trait_CommitmentIssues to add the trait, or traits.remove_trait trait_CommitmentIssues to remove it, without needing testingcheats true.
