How the Paranoid trait affects gameplay and moodlets
Sims with the Paranoid trait get 5 special moodlets. Two of these moodlets have no timer, which means they stay active as long as their cause lasts. Safe and Secure gives a Happy weight of 1, while What are They Talking About? gives a Scared weight of 1.
Three other moodlets last for 1 hour, which is 60 Sim minutes. Theory Confirmed gives a Confident weight of 2, pulling your Sim toward that emotion harder than the others. Surrounded by Skeptics adds an Angry weight of 1, and They're Out To Get Us adds a Scared weight of 1.
Beyond these moodlets, the trait does not change other stats. It has no hidden multipliers, no career pay bonuses, and no moodlet replacements. Also, 0 interactions check for this trait in their tests.
Who can get the Paranoid trait and how
Only human Sims can have the Paranoid trait. It is available for Teen, Young Adult, Adult, and Elder Sims. The trait conflicts with the Outgoing trait, so a Sim cannot have both at the same time.
You can pick the Paranoid trait in Create a Sim if you own the StrangerVille pack. You can also add or remove it in Live mode using the cheat console. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac to open the box.
Type traits.equip_trait trait_Paranoid to add the trait to your active Sim. Type traits.remove_trait trait_Paranoid to take it away. These cheats do not need testingcheats true to work.
