How the Hot-Headed trait changes gameplay
Hot-Headed Sims react with anger instead of embarrassment when they lose a duel. Normally, a Sim gets the Embarrassed moodlet called Humiliating Duel Loss for 2 hours or 6 hours. A Hot-Headed Sim gets an Angry moodlet with a weight of 2 for 6 hours instead.
This trait also applies hidden multipliers to skill building. It boosts Mischief skill gain by 1.2 and physical skills by 1.2, 1.4, or 1.6. Meanwhile, it slows creative skills, mental skills, and Charisma to 0.4, 0.6, or 0.8 of the normal rate.
In addition, 9 interactions have tests that ask for the Hot-Headed trait. These include Rile Up, Argue about Outlook on Life, Smash, and Smash Puzzle. Tests for Troll teh Forums, Reminisce, Treadmill Accident, and Taunt About University Superiority also check for it.
Who it suits, conflicts, and how to get it
The Hot-Headed trait suits Sims who focus on physical skills and Mischief rather than Charisma, mental, or creative skills. It is available to human Sims who are at the Child, Teen, Young Adult, Adult, or Elder age.
You can pick the Hot-Headed trait in Create a Sim. It conflicts with the Cheerful, Gloomy, and Wise traits. Because of this conflict, a Sim cannot have Hot-Headed at the same time as any of those traits.
