What the Macabre trait changes in gameplay

Macabre Sims swap 2 standard negative moodlets for positive ones. The Haunting Memories moodlet changes from Uncomfortable for 4 hours to Inspired for 2 hours. The Never Lost moodlet changes from Tense to Happy, and both versions last 4 hours with a weight of 1.

This trait unlocks 13 unique moodlets. Several of these last 2 hours in Sim time and push your Sim toward Playful, Focused, Energized, Inspired, or Happy moods. The Ew. SUN. moodlet makes your Sim Tense, while Gloom Infection makes them Sad.

The game checks for the Macabre trait on 4 interactions: Ask about Tarot, Cryptic Handshake, Ghastly Gavotte, and Watch Static TV. The trait does not add any constant moodlets, hidden multipliers, or career pay bonuses.

Who gets the Macabre trait and trait conflicts

Human Sims can have the Macabre trait from the Child age stage through Elder. It conflicts with the Cheerful, Skeptical, Mystical, and Disruptive traits.
