How do you remove ads in BitLife?
Buy an upgrade in the game. The BitLife FAQ says: “you can easily stop pop-up ads in your game by purchasing God Mode and Bitizenship.” The App Store listing also shows a separate in-app purchase called Remove Ads.
We found no free setting that turns the ads off. BitLife is a free app. The App Store listing says the app contains advertising.
You read this on the LifeSim blog. We make a browser life sim, and we say where our game does not fit. We list only what the BitLife pages say.
Which purchase should I buy?
The pages list three options that relate to ads. Pick by what else you want.
Remove Ads
The App Store lists Remove Ads as its own purchase. Buy this if ads are your only problem. We could not find a page from the developer that describes exactly which ads this purchase removes. Check the description in the store before you pay.
Bitizenship
The FAQ calls Bitizenship a premium upgrade that allows you to play unlimited generations, and says it includes other features. Buy this if you want to play a family line that does not end.
God Mode
God Mode is a separate purchase on the App Store, and it also appears in the FAQ answer about ads. For what it does, read BitLife God Mode.
A rule to decide
If you want only fewer ads, start with Remove Ads. If you want unlimited generations, buy Bitizenship. The FAQ names both Bitizenship and God Mode as the way to stop pop-up ads. Do not assume that one purchase does everything.
What does BitLife cost?
The FAQ says that pricing changes by platform and country. To see your price, tap the “Become a Bitizen” button in the top right corner of the game screen. We give no price here, because the price changes.
The App Store lists many purchases, such as Time Machine use, Boss Mode, and the Landlord, Investor, and C.U.L.T. Expansion Packs. The ad-related ones are the three above. Read is BitLife free? for the full picture.
How do I restore my BitLife purchase on a new phone?
On iPhone
- Sign in with the same Apple ID that you used to buy.
- Open BitLife and open Settings from the Main Menu.
- Tap “Restore Earlier Purchase…”.
On Android
Sign in to the same Google Play Services account that you used for the purchase. The FAQ says the purchase restores the next time you launch the game.
If the restore fails
Check that you use the exact same Apple ID or Google Play account. The FAQ says that the purchase history is saved, so you do not need to buy again. If it still fails, contact customer support. Give your BitLife username and your device.
If you bought in the BitLife store, log in under “My BitLife Account” in the Main Menu. Then restore from Settings.
Can I get a refund for a purchase?
Ask Apple or Google. The FAQ says: “we do not process your purchases directly.” Apple and Google handle the payments. This means that a refund request for an accidental purchase goes to them, not to BitLife.
There is one more trap. The language apps are standalone apps. The FAQ says that saved lives and purchases stay in the old app and do not come with you to BitLife. Contact customer service if you want to move them.
How do I buy safely?
Follow these rules before you pay:
- Buy only inside the game, or in the store of your phone. Do not use a link from a video or a chat.
- Read the name and the description of the purchase. Remove Ads, Bitizenship, and God Mode are different items.
- Use the Apple ID or Google account that you will keep. A restore needs the same account.
- Write down your BitLife username. Support asks for it.
- Check your price in the game with the “Become a Bitizen” button.
BitLife has many mod and hack pages online. We do not cover them here. A page that promises a free ad-free version can carry a risk for your phone and your account. Read BitLife hacks that work for the safe ones.
Is it worth paying to remove the ads?
It depends on how often you play. Use these rules:
- If you play a few minutes a week, keep the free version.
- If the ads break your play each day, buy the cheapest purchase that the store says removes ads.
- If you also want unlimited generations, buy Bitizenship, because the FAQ names it as a way to stop pop-up ads.
- If you only want to try the game, wait. The store can change the list of purchases.
Ads are the main cost of a free game, and the choice is yours. A one-time purchase ends the pop-up ads that the FAQ names. It does not change the age rating of the game or the content of the lives. The App Store lists version 325.3 at the time of our check. The developer updates the app often, so the list of purchases can change. Check the store page before you buy.
What if I still see ads after I buy?
Try these steps in order:
- Close BitLife and open it again.
- Open Settings and tap “Restore Earlier Purchase…” on iPhone. On Android, check that you use the right Google account.
- Check that the purchase is the one that the FAQ names. A different purchase may not remove the pop-up ads.
- Contact customer support with your username and device.
We did not find a page that lists the ads that stay after a purchase. Ask support if you see an ad that you did not expect.
Are there games like BitLife with no ads?
Yes, some. The list changes, so read games like BitLife for the games that we checked and their ad status. You can also play on a computer. See BitLife on PC.
Does LifeSim have ads?
Our blog pages show an ad for LifeSim, our own game. We do not describe a store upgrade that removes ads from LifeSim. This is a place where LifeSim does not fit. LifeSim runs in your browser.
If you want one life on a real map, with no install, read how LifeSim works. If you want the short lives of BitLife, stay with BitLife and buy the upgrade that fits you.
