Sims 4 Kits

Every Sims 4 kit and Creator Kit with release dates, what kits cost, how they differ from other packs, the best ones, and console support.

A kit is the smallest paid add-on for The Sims 4. Most kits add one set of furniture or one set of clothes. A few kits also add a small amount of new gameplay.

EA calls kits “mini collections of content made to boost your playstyle.” The first three kits came out on March 2, 2021. EA often releases two kits on the same day. Every kit is digital only, and every kit needs the base game.

The Sims Wiki sorts kits into two groups. Maxis makes the normal kits. Custom content creators make the Creator Kits, and EA sells them. The two groups have the same size and the same price range.

Kits are smaller than all three other pack types. The table shows the four types from the biggest to the smallest. The Steam prices are for one example of each type, and we read them on October 27, 2026.

EA adds new kits often, so this list can change. Check the EA kits page for the newest ones.

Kits are the cheapest pack type. On Steam, most kits cost $4.99. We read these Steam prices on October 27, 2026:

  • Most kits, for example the Book Nook Kit and the Music Den Kit: $4.99.
  • The Clueless Capsule Kit and the Mean Girls Capsule Kit: $3.99 each.
  • The two Lady Bridgerton’s Masquerade kits: $6.99 each.

Prices on the EA app and on consoles can be different, and sales change them. Check the EA kits page before you buy.

Some kits also cost Moola. Moola is the virtual money of the new in-game Marketplace. EA says that 200 Moola starts at $1.99. You cannot earn Moola in the game, and EA gives no refunds for it.

The base game is free, but every kit needs it. Read is The Sims 4 free to see what the base game includes.

The kits that add gameplay give the most for the price. Most kits only add items, so buy those only if you like the style.

Kits that add gameplay

  • Bust the Dust: dust builds up in the home, dust bunnies appear, and Sims clean with vacuums. It adds the aspirations Perfectly Pristine and Fabulously Filthy.
  • Restoration Workshop: Sims use the Handiness skill to repair four old appliances. The Sims Wiki calls it the first gameplay kit since Bust the Dust.
  • Comfy Gamer: it adds an alarm clock and a computer tower. With the tower on a desk, Sims can play a game called Sims Forever.

Handiness is the key skill for Restoration Workshop. Our guide to Sims 4 skills shows how to raise it.
