The Slice of Life mod for The Sims 4

Slice of Life is a free script mod by KawaiiStacie. It adds daily-life details: illness, skin care, makeup, drunk states, periods, memories, and personality types. It needs only the base game.

The mod comes in modules. Each module is one folder with one script file, so you keep only the parts that you want. Download it only from the Slice of Life page on kawaii-stacie.com. The page links to the free files on Patreon.

We read the page and the patch sheet of the creator on October 15, 2026. The page shows version 1.1. The patch sheet says the mod had an update on May 15, 2026, and that a remake is in progress.

The page also lists Phone Features, with texts and hangouts. The creator marks it as removed and in rework, so it is not in the current files.

Health Features makes Sims sick. A cold or the flu spreads during the first day. Recovery takes from 8 hours to 2 days. A bath, medicine, or orange juice helps. Sims also get allergies in spring, summer, and fall, and colds in winter.

Beauty Features lets Sims buy outfits and style their hair at the mirror. Makeup raises the painting skill. Exercise can leave marks or bandages. Bad teeth care gives bad breath, and you can turn that effect off.

Menstrual Cycle gives Sims 3 to 6 symptoms each cycle, such as cramps or mood swings. Sims buy pads, tampons, or cups from the toilet. Medicine has an 80% chance to remove the current symptoms. Teens can get a first period, and elders go through menopause.

1. Open the Slice of Life page on kawaii-stacie.com and click the Patreon link. The files are free.
2. Extract the zip file.
3. Put the Slice of Life folder in Documents, then Electronic Arts, then The Sims 4, then Mods. Put it directly in Mods, not in a second folder.
4. Delete the folder and the script file of each module that you do not want.
5. Start the game. Go to Game Options, then Other.
6. Select “Enable custom content and mods” and “Script mods allowed”. Then restart the game.

Yes, some. The Self Woohoo module is adult. The Alcohol module has drinking and a drunk woohoo option. The Health module can give an infection after woohoo with poor hygiene. The page of the creator does not show an age label.

You can skip all of it:

• Do not install the Self Woohoo folder and its script.
• Turn off drunk woohoo in the mailbox, or do not install the Alcohol module at all.
• Turn off single illnesses for each Sim in the mailbox.

Check the patch sheet of the creator first. The page links to it at bit.ly/KStacieMods. It lists each mod, the date of its last update, and the game patch that the mods work with. On October 15, 2026, the sheet named patch 1.128.90.1030.

1. If the sheet shows a problem, move the Slice of Life folder out of Mods until a fix comes.
2. When a new version comes, delete the old Slice of Life folder completely.
3. Install the new files. Delete the modules that you do not want again.
4. Check that “Script mods allowed” is still on. A patch can turn it off.

• Script mods are off. Turn on the setting and restart the game.
• The game updated, and the mod did not. Check the patch sheet.
• The folder is too deep. Move the Slice of Life folder directly into Mods.
• A module folder is missing its script file, or the reverse. Keep each pair together.
• Old and new files are mixed. Delete everything, then install the new version.
• You look for the phone texts. That module is in rework.

If an error message appears, Better Exceptions can name the file that caused it. You can report bugs on the Discord of the creator, which the patch sheet names.
