The Sims 4 Lovestruck guide

Lovestruck is an expansion pack about dating and romance. It came out on July 25, 2024. It adds the Cupid’s Corner dating app, Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs, a Romance skill, and a city called Ciudad Enamorada. The Sims Wiki says that it is the sixteenth expansion pack for The Sims 4.

We took the date, the item counts, the needs, and the rating from the EA page. We opened it on October 27, 2026. The price is from Steam on the same day. The other facts are from The Sims Wiki.

Ciudad Enamorada is the new world of the pack. The Sims Wiki says that it is based on Mexico City. It has colorful buildings, parks, and a busy nightlife.

The world has three neighborhoods:

• Vista Hermosa: a quiet suburb with family homes and the Laguna del Abrazo lounge.
• Plaza Mariposa: a green area with the Media Naranja park and a vacation rental.
• Nuevo Corazón: the city district, with penthouses, the Mirador del Amor nightclub, and the Sudor gym.

The Sims Wiki counts 13 lots: 8 residential lots, 1 vacation rental, and 4 community lots. Two of the residential lots are empty, so you can build on them. The Destructoid review says that the world feels small for a city pack.

The pack also adds the Singles Hangout lot trait. Put it on a lot, and single Sims come there to meet others. Vista Hermosa also has a love motel, Beso Rápido. Destructoid notes that Sims go inside alone, and you do not see what happens there.

Cupid’s Corner is a dating app on the phone and the computer of your Sim. EA says that Young Adult Sims and older can use it. Your Sim makes a profile, looks at matches, and then plans a date.

1. Open the phone of your Sim and select Cupid’s Corner.
2. Choose the ages that your Sim looks for, and choose two traits to show on the profile.
3. Look at the matches. Each trait on a match shows if it is a Turn-On or a Turn-Off for your Sim.
4. Save a match, add the match to your contacts, or start a date.

The Sims Wiki says that you get 7 matches each day. The list refreshes once every 12 hours. You can save up to 15 matches, so save the good ones before the list changes.

The matches come from three places: Sims in your world, new random Sims, and Sims from the Gallery. Sims who are already dating, engaged, or married do not show in the app. You can turn off Gallery Sims and occult Sims in Game Options, under Pack Settings.

When you start a date, the date planning system opens. You pick the place and the activities. The Steam page names party games, cuddles in bed, and the Romantic Blanket as some of the choices. For the steps after the first dates, read our guide on how to get married in The Sims 4.

Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs decide how attracted one Sim is to another Sim. You set them in Create a Sim. High attraction makes romantic interactions easier.

The Sims Wiki explains the scores. Attraction goes from -100 to 100, and it goes one way only. A Turn-On for a characteristic gives 30 points. A Turn-On for a skill or an activity gives 20 points. Hair color and outfit color give only 10 points.

Sims learn about each other when they talk. The total can change as your Sim learns more. A magnet icon in the Relationships panel shows the attraction.

Lovestruck adds Romantic Satisfaction, four Romance Dynamics, the Romance skill, and new WooHoo spots. Romantic Satisfaction shows how happy each Sim is in the relationship. If the level gets too low, the Sim wants counseling or wants to break up.

The four dynamics are Wholesome, Steamy, Strained, and Unpredictable. A dynamic describes the type of the relationship. Our romance settings guide, linked above, describes each one.

The Romance skill is for teens and older. Sims build it with romantic interactions, romance TV channels, and research on the computer. Some levels unlock these interactions:

The pack adds three WooHoo spots: the Romantic Blanket, the janitor closet, and the love motel. It also adds a heart bed, a costume trunk, a card game, and boxes of chocolates. The Sims Wiki lists two new deaths: death by a broken heart and death by choking.

To skip the slow build of a relationship, use the relationship cheats for The Sims 4.

Lovestruck adds two traits, two aspirations, and one career. The traits are Lovebug and Romantically Reserved. A Lovebug Sim falls in love easily. A Romantically Reserved Sim takes time to build a connection before romance.

The aspirations are Paragon Partner and Romantic Explorer. For the other traits in the game, see the Sims 4 traits list.

The career is Romance Consultant. The Sims Wiki lists 7 levels, then a split into two branches at level 8. The base levels are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM.

Lovestruck is worth it if romance is a big part of your play. Reviewers agree that it makes dating feel new. Destructoid gave it 7.5 out of 10, and Dexerto gave it 4 out of 5.

Destructoid calls Cupid’s Corner the best feature of the pack. It also says that the app helps with the 100 Baby challenge. Dexerto likes the Romance Dynamics and says that the app makes it easier to meet Sims who are single.

The reviews also name problems. Destructoid says that attraction belongs in the base game, and that the world has few places to visit. Dexerto says that the Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs do not do much to stop a romance between unmatched Sims.

• They forget to save good matches. The Cupid’s Corner list refreshes every 12 hours, so save a match first.
• They look for a teen in the app. Only Young Adult Sims and older can use Cupid’s Corner.
• They ignore Romantic Satisfaction. Check it often, because a Sim with low satisfaction can want to break up.
• They leave the Turn-Ons and Turn-Offs empty. Set them in Create a Sim, so attraction has something to use.
• They see Gallery Sims or occult Sims that they do not want. Turn them off in Game Options, under Pack Settings.

LifeSim is a free AI life simulation game in the browser and on iPhone. You live one life, day by day, in a real city on a 3D map of Earth. The people there talk back in their own words and remember you. It has no packs to buy.

LifeSim does not have a dating app or attraction scores. If you want those systems, Lovestruck is the better choice. If you want people who remember your story, read games like The Sims or see the LifeSim life simulator.

Is Lovestruck on PS4, PS5, and Xbox?

Yes. The Sims Wiki lists PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One.

Can teens date in Lovestruck?

Teens can build the Romance skill. EA says that only Young Adult Sims and older can use the Cupid’s Corner app.

Can Sims die from Lovestruck?

Yes. The Sims Wiki lists two new deaths: death by a broken heart and death by choking.

Is there a disc for Lovestruck?

No. The Sims Wiki says that Lovestruck is the first expansion pack with no physical copy.
