Method

We read the numbers from the tuning files of The Sims 4, game version 1.128.90.1030, with every pack installed, on 2026-10-26. Tuning files are the data EA ships to set how the game behaves. Nothing here is estimated from play, and no mod is involved. Each pack is the pack whose files hold the record. A patch can change any of these numbers.

A death is a chance death when the game rolls for it. For each roll we take the base chance in its tuning, then every multiplier its tests can switch on: traits, moodlets, skill levels, weather and so on. When the game draws one result from a weighted list, the chance is the weight of the deadly results over the weight of all of them.

"Lowest" is the lowest base chance among the rolls of that death. "Highest" tries every mix of conditions that can hold at the same time and keeps the top result, capped at 100% as the game caps it. A roll happens once per action: per serving, per shock, per outburst, per telescope look. So a 1% roll repeated many times adds up.

Timed deaths kill when a hidden meter runs out. We list the shortest timer the tuning allows, in Sim minutes. The 17 chance deaths are the ones in the chart; the full data, with the action of each roll, is in the CSV.

Immunities (Servos, pregnant Sims and others) and the cheats that stop death are on each death's own page.
