Guitar skill

Every new level in the Guitar skill asks for more skill points than the one before it. You need only 100 points to reach level 1, and another 1,440 points to reach level 2. By level 5, you need 5,280 points for that single level, bringing your total to 12,580 points.

The point jumps grow much larger in the second half of the skill. Moving from level 6 to level 7 takes 10,140 points, and reaching level 10 asks for 21,120 new points. In total, going from the start to level 10 takes 81,580 skill points.

Active emotions change how fast you earn Guitar skill points. Being Very Inspired multiplies your skill gain by 1.6, and Inspired multiplies it by 1.4. A Sad mood also helps with a 1.2 multiplier, while Angry, Very Angry, and Enraged moods slow your progress down to 0.8, 0.6, and 0.4.

You can combine emotions with active moodlets because several multipliers multiply together. The Artistic Endeavors moodlet multiplies skill gain by 3, and Creative Spark multiplies it by 2.5. Fluttering Bliss and Inspirational Flowers give a 2 multiplier, while Creative Boost and Dedication give 1.5.

General skill boosts also speed up your Guitar practice. The Snaggle Flustered boost gives a 4 multiplier to skill points gained. Parental Guidance and the Skilling on Up boost each multiply your skill gain by 3 while they are active.

Early levels open up basic playing and singing options. At level 2, you unlock Practice, Play Song, Melody of Mealtime, and Ditty of Drowsiness. Level 3 adds Write Lyrics, Sing Songs, and Pluck Some Inspiration, while level 4 unlocks Busk with Guitar and Play with Emotion.

Higher levels focus on creating and sharing music. You canSerenade and Write Song at level 6, and Lull to Sleep at level 7. Level 8 lets you Craft Instrument, and level 9 unlocks License Song.

If you want to skip the practice, you can use a cheat in Live mode. Open the cheat console by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C on PC, or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type testingcheats true, press Enter, and then enter stats.set_skill_level statistic_Skill_AdultMajor_Guitar 10 to reach level 10.
