Vampire Lore skill

You start at level 1 after earning 100 skill points. Reaching level 2 takes 240 more points, and level 3 requires a jump of 720 points. The cost continues to rise steadily through level 5, which asks for 880 points.

The point requirements do not always increase in a straight line. Level 6 drops down to just 240 points from the level before, making it a very quick step. After that brief dip, level 7 jumps up to 1,040 points, and level 9 requires 1,350 points.

Similar drops happen at level 10 and level 13, which each take only 480 points from the previous level. The biggest steps are at levels 11, 12, 14, and 15, which each require 1,440 points. Once you accumulate 13,350 total points, you finish level 15.

Your Sim's current emotion changes how fast you earn Vampire Lore points. Being Focused multiplies your skill gain by 1.4, and being Very Focused increases that multiplier to 1.6. Avoid studying while Angry or Sad, as both drop your multiplier to 0.8, while Enraged drops it to 0.4.

Traits and moodlets also speed up your progress, and active multipliers multiply together. The Strong Mental Affinity trait gives a 1.4 multiplier, while Moderate Mental Affinity gives 1.3. Look for the Omega Brain Boost moodlet to multiply your gain by 2, or use Dedication and Mental Boost for a 1.5 multiplier.

General skill boosts work on Vampire Lore too. The Snaggle Flustered boost multiplies skill gain by 4. Parental Guidance increases gain by 3, which helps you get through the 1,440-point levels much faster.

No careers in the game ask for Vampire Lore for promotions, so you level it strictly for its interactions. At level 4, you unlock the Create Plasma Pack interaction. Level 5 lets you Make Garlic Braid, Make Garlic Garland, and Make Garlic Wreath.

At level 8, you can Purchase Plasma Fruit Seeds, Purchase Sixam Mosquito Trap Seeds, and Purchase Wolfsbane Seeds. Level 10 unlocks Encyclopedia Vampirica Vol 3, and level 13 unlocks a final vampire tome.

To skip leveling, open the cheat console in Live mode by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type testingcheats true, then enter stats.set_skill_level statistic_Skill_Hidden_VampireLore 15 to max the skill. You can change 15 to any number from 1 to 15.
