Natural Living skill

You unlock level 1 of the Natural Living skill with just 100 skill points. Reaching level 2 requires 1,440 more points, which brings your total to 1,540 points. Each level after that asks for a larger amount of points than the level before.

The point requirements grow much larger in the second half of the skill. Moving from level 4 to level 5 takes 5,280 points, while reaching level 7 requires 10,140 points from level 6. The final push from level 9 to level 10 takes 21,120 points, for a total of 81,580 points.

Your Sim gains skill points faster when they are in a Focused mood. Being Focused multiplies your skill gain by 1.4, and being Very Focused increases that multiplier to 1.6. Avoid leveling this skill while Angry or Sad, because those emotions multiply your progress by 0.8 or less.

You can stack several traits and moodlets to multiply your skill points even further. The Active trait gives a 1.25 multiplier, while Strong Mental Affinity gives a 1.4 multiplier. If your Sim has the Omega Brain Boost moodlet, they get a 2 multiplier to their skill gains.

Early skill levels give your Sim basic ways to survive outdoors. Level 2 unlocks Eat Fish, Forage for Food, and Summon a Privy Bush, while level 3 unlocks Forage for Plants. At level 5, your Sim can use Eat Frog and Forage for Collectibles.

Higher levels unlock new interactions and career promotions. Your Sim can Meditate in Nature at level 7 and Talk to Nature at level 9. You also need levels 2 through 10 to earn promotions in the Naturopath career and its Lifestyle Coaching branch.

You can skip the grind in Live mode by opening the cheat console with Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type testingcheats true first to turn on cheats. Then enter stats.set_skill_level statistic_Skill_NLS 10 to max out the skill right away.
