Skiing skill

You need 100 skill points to reach level 1, and 1,440 more points to reach level 2. By level 5, your Sim needs 5,280 points from the level before, bringing your total points to 12,580. Each rank asks for more effort than the last one.

The point jumps grow much larger in the second half of the skill. Moving from level 6 to level 7 takes 10,140 points, and reaching level 10 takes 21,120 points from level 9. You need 81,580 total points to max out the Skiing skill.

Your Sim's emotion changes how fast you earn skill points. Being Energized gives a 1.4 multiplier to your skill gain, and Very Energized gives a 1.6 multiplier. Avoid practicing while Sad or Very Sad, because those emotions drop your multiplier to 0.8 and 0.6.

Several moodlets also multiply your Skiing skill gain, and active multipliers stack together. The Athletic Pick Me Up moodlet gives a 2 multiplier, while Prepared for Skiing gives 1.75. You also get a 1.5 multiplier from Active Boost, Dark Chicken, Dedication, Midnight Meal, Perfected, or the Feelin' Treemendous moodlet.

General skill boosts work on Skiing as well. The Snaggle Flustered boost multiplies your skill gain by 4. Parental Guidance and the Skilling on Up boost each give a 3 multiplier.

Higher levels unlock new interactions for your Sim, though no careers ask for this skill. Level 2 unlocks Inquire about Powder Conditions, level 3 unlocks Go Skiing, and level 5 adds Discuss Past Ski Experiences. At levels 8 and 9, you can Deliberate Ski Style and Give Advice on Avoiding Wipeouts.

At level 10, your Sim can Teach Ski Class, Offer Ski Expertise, or Offer Ski Expertise For Free. If you want to skip the grind, open the cheat console in Live mode. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac.

Type testingcheats true and press Enter. Then enter stats.set_skill_level statistic_Skill_AdultMajor_Skiing 10 to reach the maximum level right away.
