Apothecary skill

Your Sim needs 100 skill points to reach level 1. Going from level 1 to level 2 takes 1,440 points, bringing your total to 1,540 points. The point requirement grows larger with each new level.

The halfway mark in levels is not the halfway mark in points. Reaching level 5 takes 12,580 total points, while reaching level 10 takes 81,580 total points.

The biggest jumps happen at the top of the skill track. Level 7 to 8 needs 13,440 points, and level 8 to 9 needs 17,100 points. The final push from level 9 to 10 requires 21,120 points on its own.

Keep your Sim Focused or Very Focused while they practice. A Focused mood multiplies skill gains by 1.4, and Very Focused multiplies them by 1.6. Avoid Angry, Sad, Very Angry, Very Sad, or Enraged moods, as these slow down your progress.

Several moodlets and traits multiply your skill gains further. The Omega Brain Boost moodlet gives a 2 multiplier, while the Strong Mental Affinity trait gives a 1.4 multiplier. Active multipliers stack by multiplying together.

Boosts that apply to any skill also work here. Snaggle Flustered multiplies skill gain by 4. Parental Guidance and Skilling on Up both give a 3 multiplier.

Higher levels unlock new interactions and many recipes. Your Sim can Forage for Apothecary Ingredients at level 2 and Brag about Apothecary Expertise at level 5. Level 10 unlocks 16 recipes at once, including Any Emotion Potion and Celestial Protection.

The Naturopath career requires this skill for promotions starting at career level 2, which asks for skill level 2. If you pick the Apothe-curist branch, you need up to level 10 to finish the career track.

To max the skill right away, open the cheat console in Live mode. Press Ctrl + Shift + C on PC, or Cmd + Shift + C on Mac. Type testingcheats true, then enter stats.set_skill_level statistic_Skill_AdultMajor_Apothecary 10.
